Mad world cup altogether. I was wrong about the penalty in the earlier game and I thought Germany would cement the label of being most impressive in the world cup.

Great game, especially that second half. Great to see both teams going for the win and not sitting back. Germany should be delighted with the draw, but Ghana should be disappointed. They had more than enough opportunities to win that game.

Yeah credit to Ghana or not sitting back....on another day Germany would have buried some of those chances but same can be said for Ghana...very enjoyable game and even though I'm pissed at the result, draw was fair. Germany are a great side to watch

I missed the opening goal by Germany and I just caught it on TV. It looked quite flukey, with Mario Gotze heading the ball down onto his knee and deflecting it into the net. It makes Ghana drawing all the more disappointing now.

Good match, thought Ghana did very well. They will be sorely disappointed they didn't take the 3 points tonight but that said Germany had their chances as well.

Cracking game although I could have done with a little less excitement.

Germany had to go at their reserves to survive. Weather was brutal and Ghana as tough as they come.
Draw is fair I think although Ghana probably edged it for me. Was well impressed with them. At times they were showing us up and we could have very easily lost this one.
One of the few positives for Germany was how they responded. The subs made a big impact on the whole team and with that second wind they could have even pipped it.
Neuer is some asset to have. Faultless for the goals. Thought Hummels was strong, too.

Boateng got a blow to the hip and had to stay in the cabin with a 'muscular problem', Mueller received a cut to the brow and was stitched up after. He'll be fine.
Lahm was muck it must be said. That will fire up the discussion again of where he should be playing. Surely Schweinsteiger will start now v USA. Klose. :cool:

After two games France seem to have the better balance. Holland aren't far off. Germany have been impressive enough, although they do have some weak points. After Costa Rica, I think Italy will tail off and fall short like in the last WC.

Can't help thinking at this juncture that we're going to have a European winner. I'm thinking France.
