Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Still think Bosnia will turn this around

That's been coming for a long time.

Tbf, Bosnia have looked the more likely to score (and obviously should have been 1 up before this).

Those Bosnian appeals for a foul on the defender was pathetic.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

    Same.

Bosnia pass the ball really well.

Luckily I also had Odemwingie AT to cover it. Great burst from Emunike.

    Wtf?

Funny, bosnia player completely tried to obstruct Emenike for the goal

Oh, look. Nigerians running free as sheep in a field, over on the right flank.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 289 ✭✭Rushden

Thought it was a foul to be honest , defender got his body in front and had his ankles clipped

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,312 ✭✭✭✭Cienciano

    Great game so far

did you miss the shockingly bad offside call from earlier, where he only raised his flag after the ball went in?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,673 ✭✭✭AllGunsBlazing

I'd worry about Bosnia being taken apart on the break from here. That defence does not inspire confidence.

Yes but the post I quoted was in relation to Nigeria's goal. Presumed he was having a go at the linesman for not spotting a non-existent foul.

Bosnia need to sort LB out asap, its gonna cost them their place in the tournament. I can see them getting back into this but they're being murdered down the left.

No, that is not a double post.

Wouldn't have happened if not for that appalling call (football matches being one big chain reaction), and even if it did it would be level now.

They just showed it again from a few different angles, Bosnian guy made no attempt to play the ball, it was miles away, all he was interested in doing was obstructing Emenike

I know a lad with $550 on Bosnia. Oh.

Have a significant amount (for me) on them aswell, stil think they can turn it around, goal before half time would nice.

Have it in them but the worrying thing is how crap defensively they are.

Bloody hell, have nigeria gone down the left yet? Massive gaps on the right.

Makes it all the more interesting how Argentina struggled so much to break them down.

FFS, a Nigerian could punch a Bosnian kn the face and not concede a free!

Dzeko can be so awkward when the ball is played to his feet. Such a contrast between him and the midfield players' style

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

Dzeko has clocked out for the night since the offside. Bottler.

The difference between the work rates of Emineke and Dzeko is scary.

  • Registered Users Posts: 677 ✭✭✭vidor

    Poor from Dzeko.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,711 ✭✭✭keano_afc

    Pitch is in rag order.

    Seriously Dzeko, what was that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 677 ✭✭✭vidor

    Haha Dzeko. Woeful.

    That FIFA ad... WTF?

    Entertaining first half.

Highlight was John Kenny's attempt to recreate the celebratory ole noise from the Nigerian fans after each completed pass-

    "uhhhlayyy".

    Cringe :D

    Love that turn of phrase.

If B&H don't score soon after the break they're sunk imo. They have the ability to win the game, even with their woeful defending, but they won't have the energy for long enough in the heat. They have to score early.

It's fascinating seeing so many battles where a tall strong Bosnian comes up against a shorter but equally strong Nigerian. It's like height versus girth.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

Dzeko with... the worst thing I have ever seen.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,869 ✭✭✭✭Loafing Oaf

Keown reaches for the ultimate accolade for Cahill's goal: Van Persie, Van Basten, even a David Platt moment.:P

Pjanic is the best player on the park.

That's my worry, and it is why it is awful to see dzeko actually look like he is trying to miss. Pjanic has been excellent, though.

Yeah was impressed with him against Argentina as well.

Ah here. Dzeko is now watching the ball sssllloooowwwwllllyyyy roll away from him in the Nigerian box. Berbatov would be appalled at this laziness.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,825 ✭✭✭Timmyctc

I'd say (Barring the obvious disallowed goal) Bosnia would be better off taking off Dzeko. He's breaking down everything good and not chasing any second balls.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,683 ✭✭✭LightningBlue

Bosnia could do with bringing on Ibisevic.
Dzeko's head is gone - he's lashing at shots.

Worst game I have seen from any striker all tournament I think. A lazy, mentally weak, sulking bottler.

Dzeko's movement is like that of a subuteo player on a horse tranquilizer.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,218 ✭✭✭Lucifer MorningStar

    Brilliant again from Pjainc

  • Registered Users Posts: 677 ✭✭✭vidor

Lot of tired looking players out there. Guessing Dzeko is coming off now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,683 ✭✭✭LightningBlue

    Ibisevic on for Hajrovic.
