Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Belgium should throw on Januzaj...game is crying out for a spark

Apparently Wilmots won't play him because of lack of effort in training.

    ACTION. SOMETHING EXCITING HAPPENED.

Twice in under one minute, two Belgians dribble through three defenders into very dangerous positions.

Then go w slow, safe passes to the defenders they just beat.

    Hazard goes close there though.

Belgium are desperate. Their passing is awful.

At least Hazard is putting in some kind of a shift.

And Fellini "only good for a header"... is no good with his head. :p

Its nuts seeing as he had a good impact against S.Korea let alone the fact that he is generally one of the few good creative players Russia have. They need to do something anyway, Belgium are turning the screw.

    1-0 Belgium!

    Great from Hazard there

Hardly deserved but Russia are awful too.

    Belgium obviously mentally strong.

Hazard came good when it mattered

Origi started that attack and ended it, good to see.

    Akinfeev beaten too easily?

    Hazard!!!

Origi much more alert than Lukaku.

Twice now Origi has made an impact off the bench.

Did Hazard and Origi wake up Siesta Man?

To be fair to Belgium its a good sign when a team plays below par and still grind out the wins. They aren't showing championship winning form but if they get the bit between the teeth they could be hard to stop.

That breakaway as well, even if it didn't result in a score.

Russian lads might want to think about seeking permanent asylum in Brazil. Putin no like.

I had Belgian Waffles in the wee hours of the morning. Belgium were inspired. True story.

Russia were poor. If their army had the same attitude as their football team, Crimea would still be part of Ukraine.

Origi generated some power with that finish.

Put it like this, if they were ran by the likes of Arshavin (who is probably one of the technically better Russians and is no longer on the squad) then Ukraine would probably be successfully be invading and taking over many of the Russian States.

That saying is a bit of a misnomer though. You can play below par and just that, doesn't always mean it's a good sign even though you win. I think a decent side will beat them handy enough.

Still a fairly open world cup. None of the favourites flying it by any means. Germany looked only human last night when the questions were asked, Belgium are not living up to their hype, The Argies struggled against Iran and Brazil have flattered to deceive. Hollands 5-1 win over Spain gave a false impression of where they were really at. We may have a real upset at the end of this.

We had a pretty good first 20 mins and the last 10 were good too, everything in between was horrible and boring.

Still delighted with the win, thanks to Hazard who decided to step up.

Empty seats don't always mean teams haven't sold their quota, just means some FIFA hangers on haven't bothered.

Reasonable, I suppose ....and I cant fault their judgement, that was hard to watch.

I'm kind of disappointed with Russia.

For me, they've been the worst team to watch in the tournament. Capello sure knows how to kill a team/game.
