Can anyone recommend a Dermatologist anywhere in Kerry please?

I am after getting some serious burns in my arms and legs from cycling (even though I was wearing sun-screen) & sun-screen was not high enough.

I need to get my skin checked out by someone who specialises in skin-care to know the full extent of the damage done & I Know damage was done. It was first created last Sunday and then during the week by more outdoor activities but the burn is only just fading in areas, still v-serious looking burns.

    Many Thanks in advance,

Dr.Buckley in the Ashe Street Clinic. He has a pretty long waiting list though and he aint cheap but he knows his shizzle.

Another recommendation for Dr Buckley. Self refer, and as mentioned not cheap but worth it. Good luck with the treatment. Would be interested to know what happens. I suffered awful sunburn in Australia many years ago. Am sure it led to my skin issues today. Didn't even think if going to medic about it at the time (blame youth and knowing no better). Now wondering if I had thought to do it, would it have made a difference.

I've attended Dr Buckley in the past and would also recommend him.
In the meantime, pop to your GP for a visit and maybe ask they send a referral letter also. Your burns may need some treatment in the interim that could reduce any potential complications down the road, especially as you wait for an appointment. Flamazine cream is great if the skin is actually properly burnt (as in from a fire etc, same level of damage). As fair as I know its prescription only - visit your GP if you are worried.

    ^^^

Many Thanks for your replies & recommendations. Went to my GP instead.

To put my sun-burn into some perspective; to just assist with understanding my concern:
~ the 26th was the first night I was able to shower (since the sun-burn happened on the 15th) at the same water temperature (with heat) that I was using before my Cycle on the 15th.
That's the severity of sensitivity and burns pain my arms & legs experienced. Until the 26th the shower setting had to be on freezing for any comfort (no hot/tepid water), with my hair washed separate then with hot water.

Arms and thighs still showing sun-burn & will continuosly do so apparently, but the sensitivity and pain has eased off considerably, though not yet gone.

Factor 50spf from now on for me & especially so on long cycles, to be applied every 1-2hours.

    Again Thank you all,
    kerry4sam
