Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

USA certainly playing the better football at the moment. Hope they score and make Portugal sweat a little.

Portugal should out Ronaldo down the right flank. Beasley is liability at left back.

They seem to be adverse to tackling anyone who wants to run straight through the middle of the pitch.

Its like in Pro Evo 4 where you centered and just ran straight towards the opposition goal you wouldn't get tackled.

It's 14 degrees in dublin at the moment and I think it's warm. Not planning a holiday to Manaus

Wasn't there a water break last night?

Remember Steve Staunton playing in the 1994 WC? I'd say he'd dissolve out there in those playing conditions.

Is he not playing left wing? Very high up the pitch all match. How old is he btw? This is his 4th WC ain't it?

Is there one of those water breaks every 8 minutes in Qatar?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,304 ✭✭✭madcabbage

    Oh dear...

This isn't gonna get old any time soon. That's for sure.

If anyone regularly plays sports outdoors in those conditions you'd know why he allowed the water break. Hot as balls down there.

It's the humidity moreso than the heat that's a killer.

Outside camera to capture some of 'Ronnie's' free kicks?

Is there one of those water breaks every 8 minutes in Qatar?

Every player will carry a thermal fanny pack with water and an ice pop.

For the workers? Nope, no breaks. They get water sprayed at them occasionally to wake them up.

Ronaldo right now is playing nowhere near the level of the Ronaldo we know.

Hard enough going on a warm August evening in St Anne's.

Save of the World Cup right there

Is there one of those water breaks every 8 minutes in Qatar?

Nah, there'll be one drinks break 5 minutes in, then a "clear the charred corpses" break after 10 minutes. Match result determined by super-computer.

Ronaldo's free kicks are pox 95% of the time.

Fairly routine save I thought, there was very little pace on the ball.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,088 ✭✭✭Nib

Made that save harder than it should have been. Awful footwork.

There will never be a World Cup in Qatar

His name twice in the one sentence.

Is that you Mr Lawrenson ?

Take Moutinho and Greaseball out of that Portugal team, and they are a very average side.
