Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So are every footballers. No players scores every free kick, nor even gets them on target all the time...
But "pox 95% of the time", Ronaldo's are not!

If I remember correctly, they had to mop him up at the end of those games and reassemble him.

Ronaldo right now is playing nowhere near the level of the Ronaldo we know.

He's actually playing pretty well

He's no Ronald koeman that's for damn sure

Brian Kerr just blamed Ronaldo for an American player running into him right as he was completing a pass.

Monty Python had a sketch about that, actually (no not the philosophers one!).

They hit the wall or fly over the bar far more often than not.

I don't know what the confused emoticon is about, he's playing marginally better than the German game and that's about it. He is clearly not 100%.

Every player will carry a thermal fanny pack with water and an ice pop.

A mr freeze is surely the better option?

I cant reply to all three lads...
But yes he is good at free kicks. and not everyone of them are perfect!

    Entertaining first half.

You'd wonder if the USA can keep pressing like that without the heat getting to them or Ronaldo and co picking them off on the break.

Is there one of those water breaks every 8 minutes in Qatar?

Adidas or Nike or both will design a water pouch into a jersey I would bet.

Anyone see that little clip Gary Linekar picked out just there.

A joy to watch in fairness.

USA playing great but if they don't take one of their chances soon they'll have no chance, Portuguese counter is the only dangerous thing.

He's not 100% but he's playing well. Confused emoticon is about you thinking otherwise.

Friedel is fairly ripping in to Howard.

Does he reckon he should be the us no 1 still? :-)

Guessing that's the clip from the first few mins where he somehow managed to skip a few challenges?

He is playing well when the ball comes to him, but he is not taking over or as explosive as usual because his knee won't let him. He has done well under the car u stances though, of course.

    Great vision from Ronaldo there.
    He's been largely anonymous otherwise

    Eamon strangely subdued tonight.

Absolutely no one showing for the ball for portugal on the counter except Ronaldo and Nani

Eder is extremely unimpressive. Seems to lack any sort of coordination.

You seem to be confused with the context of how you used an emoticon. But since you agree with me that he's not 100%? I'll say no more. Hopefully the halftime rest and some painkillers will help him in the second half.

Eder has been awful since he came on.

He wasn't much cop before he came on, either.

    Scrap the cap!

It cost 230 million to build a stadium in the middle of the Amazon that hosts 4 games . Whoever signed off on that should get 230 million slaps .

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

Loving how much the commentators are picking on am injured Ronaldo not tracking back when they completely absolved Rooney of any blame for failing to do so against Italy because "he prefers to play at #10"

    :p

Bradley with a joke of a ball there

i think it's being taken down again once the comp is over.
