France bans daytime pesticide spraying

    Pesticide spraying during the daytime is being banned in France to protect bees, according to reports.

    Do you think it should be introduced here?

    Its a bold move and one I don't think would get past the farming lobby here.

    It makes sense to me that much of the problem with bees is the chemicals they collect and bring back to hives. Makes little difference if this is applied day or night.

    It was discussed in the farming section before. Allot of places like the west of Ireland have very little pesticides ever used and the bee population is still in decline. Many sprayes in Europe were generly used at night time anyway.
