Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In fairness, Cameroon are a shambles at the back too. They'll certainly concede again

Wouldn't put it past this World Cup to see Brazil knocked out by the weakest team the group.

    EDIT: Nevermind :P

Neymar is different class! Poor goalkeeping by itanje. 2-1 Brazil.

Never been such a one man team since Roy Keane played for Ireland..

Is Neymar going to steal Messi's limelight and tournament by winning it singlehanded.

    Beautiful finish from Neymar.

This Brazil team would be horribly average without Neymar. Not sure they can depend on him producing heroics all the way through the tournament.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,701 ✭✭✭Bacchus

This is not right, is it?

It is. If they lose by less than 1 though, they go through.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,305 ✭✭✭Alonso77

Ray "why didnt he do this? why did he do that?" Houghton trying to blame the keeper there, ffs!

Has there been a hat trick in the tournament yet?

I missed most the games in week one.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

I hadn't seen Neymar at his best much effort this world cup so didn't know if it was just hype, ala robinho.

Nope. Nope. The guy is absolutely stupendous!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,370 ✭✭✭✭Son Of A Vidic

If Neymar was getting decent service from his midfield, he probably be into double figures in this tournament.

    Thomas Muller v Portugal.

Sublime, simply sublime. Look at the speed of his feet, the touches perplex and tease the defenders, his finish is definitive. Pele, Maradona, Cruyff, Puskas, Di Stefano, Ronaldo, Messi and perhaps in the years to come it will be Neymar added to such lists. Behind Messi and Ronaldo right now, Neymar is the next best player on the planet.

Did you see the goal? It was straight down the middle of the net. The keeper dived way before Neymar hit the ball.

Yes i saw the goal, a lot of keepers will anticipate shots before they happen, its part of the game. Houghton made it out to be the howler of the century.

Think I'd have Suarez ahead of him there.

Where in fecks name are the samba drums? Brazil playing without samba, is like Paddy's day without Guinness. It's just not right or natural.

Neymar is now the 6th place all time goalscorer for Brazil ,

    35 goals in 52 caps and he's only 22.

    That's phenomenal.

The attacking team should have someone mark the goalkeeper with their hands up high in front of the goalkeeper when there is a corner.

I wouldn't have Suarez, I wouldn't have Robert, I wouldn't have Robben, I wouldn't have Bale, I wouldn't have Ibrahimovic, I wouldn't have anyone ahead of Neymar other than possibly Messi and Ronaldo.

Why's that? Camaroon are still in this.

    €15 off

How much was the pie to begin with ?

You have to hand it to Neymar, the whole country is looking to him to perform and carry Brazil and he's stepping up when it matters. Some pressure on a young player to perform on the biggest stage of all and he's delivering. Such a one-man team at the moment but he's doing the business, only for him they'd be rightly goosed. If he does go on and lead Brazil to the WC it would be one hell of an achievement.

Fairly sure musical instruments have been banned from the stadiums.

The bright side is no English brass band :)

Apart from maybe 2010 this is by far the worst Brazil team I've ever seen!

I'll eat me prick if they go all the way!

Can see Cameroon scoring again.....but prob leaving in another 4 :P

On the face of it it looks impressive. How many in friendlies though, of which Brazil play a multitude?

35 in 52 now for Neymar with Brazil, incredible.

Has anyone else noticed the guy that keeps to running onto the pitch whenever Brazil get the ball up and around the Cameroon box?

He is wearing a Brazil jersey but it's hard to work out what it says on it.. Think it's 'Fran' or 'Freb' or maybe 'Fred'

Weird that the stewards haven't dealth with him as he looks very inebriated.
