Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Suarez is surely going to be suspended for a long time. Will be happy if he sees a 10-15 game ban.

Was kinda coming around to Suarez, but jebus, he's some piece of work. Why does someone with so much talent have to behave like an animal.

We need to send that in to Derek Mooney, but I'm pretty sure that's the bite of the Natterjack Toad...

    'It was a headbutt surely'

Yeah looks like a handy headbutt alright, it's got to the point where the authorities need to step in... He obviously has no regard for punishments and does not learn....

He had NO PLACE on a football pitch at any level if he cannot control his behaviour, it will be interesting to see what punishment he does get....

I know what he deserves to get but he won't

If replays confirm a Suarez bite/attempt, then he must be severely punished for his cannibalistic tendencies and banned from all football for a minimum of 6 months.

I'm not sure but I think he just bites his opponents, I don't think he eats them.

I wonder if sky will run with it since they can't show pictures from the World Cup

Are the lads completely oblivious to the fact that Suarez will surely be suspended for the rest of the tournament? ?

Chief Martin C. Brody (Roy Scheider)

Anyone think Brady and Giles would be urging the bite to be ignored by FIFA if it were Balotelli?

    As disgraceful as usual.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,190 ✭✭✭✭IvySlayer

Banning him for 6/7 matches clearly doesn't work on him, up it to say 20 with 50 if he does it again, or whatever it takes for him to get it to stop.

Should be talking about Uruguay going through

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,536 ✭✭✭Dolph Starbeam

He will surely get a ban now retrospectively because the ref took no action?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,537 ✭✭✭Dave0301

What I find most annoying is the way Suarez went down like a sack of spuds after clutching his face.

Should get a ban for that alone :pac:

It's clear Chiellini put his shoulder into Suarez mouth, the fiend!

Is that picture real? I'm no Suarez apologist, but those "bite marks" seem too clear in comparison to the rest of the picture. Was that shown on TV?

Definitely not a bite! Suarez would not do that!

If he has bitten someone again....Why care? This sport is full of cheating and scumbags.

I would condone bringing back the death penalty for these kind of actions.

Absolutely staggered that he's done it again. He's a fantastic talent, awesome on the pitch. As a sportsman though? Hmm.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,281 ✭✭✭✭ben.schlomo

Christ the outrage here is painful. Id sooner someone attempted to bite me than ran around trying to break my legs like Keane et al used to. If he gets a ban fair enough, if not then fair enough, Costa got away with a headbutt earlier in the tournament.

ITV are discussing it, despite not even showing the match. Fcuk RTE

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,664 ✭✭✭dirkmeister

They are laughing about the bite and yet two minutes ago they were on about cleaning up the game re. Tackles like Marchisio got sent off for.

    Amateur stuff.

But on the plus side, at least it was Chiellini.

Lads having a laugh about it on RTE. What are they on?

Edit: hold it. Eamon has his serious voice on.

Double edit: now we are laughing about it again.

    Bizarre.

They are questioning his psychological suitability to be a professional footballer.. this from the same panel that said that a professional footballer should be prepared to "kill their granny"... No consistency..

FIFA will do nothing. It's more important to them that he's in the tournament.

Surely barca won't want a player like that now, more than a club and all that. Although him and pepe would be like 2 peas in a pod at madrid
