Balotelli must be the easiest man to wind up on a professional football pitch i have ever seen. In the first minute of the game the Uruguayans complained to the ref that he had dived and then, for the next ten minutes, systematically kicked lumps out of him. Job done. His head gone.

If Balotelli can't score, Italy has very little chance.
In fact they didn't win a match in WC 10 and EC 12 and didn't beat Denmark or Czech Rep when he didn't score.

And the main commentator wonders if Balotelli, who had drug addict biological parents, adoption and racism to deal with, was a spoiled child.

So Pirlo has gone from a footballing God to someone who can be taken out of a game by" anyone with a pair of eyes and a set of legs" within 10 days. Take note, anyone who defends Dunphy as anything other than a clueless, keepers eejit.

Also no surprise that they ignored Verratti altogether, who has been the best player on the pitch so far. As usual, RTE only looking at the big names and failing to even correctly pronounce the rest of them.

Their obsession with him is embarrassing. Disappointed he was taken off.

You gotta love the RTE player , the quality during the match jumps up , down and even cuts out . Half time arrives and you get to watch Dunphy in stunning uninterrupted HD .
