Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Got these in my parcel motel this evening.

    iJUvUbQ.jpg

    9JOF65X.jpg

The big one is printed on high quality fabric, and the smaller one on silk. You can't really tell in the pics, but they are pretty decent quality. Large one is 32" x 24" and the smaller is 17" x 13".

Now, where to put them? The wall is pretty packed in my office :0/

You'd probably be into the Banjo man's paintings based on that style.

    Heres his most recent one:

You might have a problem getting 2 of them though! ;)

Ah now, we all know that a mere scan would never be upto Steve SI standards!

I see Ollie did a Shadow of the Colossus speed painting 2 weeks ago which was why it was stuck in my memory when I saw the one you picked up:

    someone called me ? :)
I haven't painted in a few years and doing these got me back into it. They're one hour studies though, not proper finished pieces

    Feck ya,
Just finished a painting of Templemore of all places.
About 17 hours work in that.
I'm sure it'll mean a lot to the eventual owner but I just don't get it myself.

oh yes... been there. I hate commissions :(
spent 8 years painting people's dogs and cars and whatever hotel they got married in... I just refuse them now even if I like the subject matter. It's one of the reasons I stopped painting 2 years ago.
It's just not worth the stress and time spend for less money than the minimum income

My eldest sister is great at commissions (probably at it 20 years on and off) but she hasn't done much lately over the smallies. When they're all in school I think she'll go back to it.
Both of us end up doing very feminine men lol it's weird, she has some success, I just avoid it altogether.

and in other news. I found these. I've been on a jewel case pc hunt . They all end up in the audio cd sections so it takes time to dig them out but it's worth it

The great Alphaeagle sale of 2015 will be talked about for years to come, the nerds will ask 'where were you when all the retro goodness was for sale?'

And i shall tell them, I was buying an Atari 5200, cib, still not sure it really happened, some one pinch me...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 33,733 ✭✭✭✭Myrddin

Ha, nice get. If I wasn't saving I'd have taken that I reckon...you simply don't come across them over here.

Got the RGB cable for my launch 360, thanks Myrddin, and everything looks sweet.
I'm going to get the physical release of Geometry Wars 2 as the console can't be plugged into XBL, I'd say it'll look superb on the CRT

A colleague showed up with a huge bag at work yesterday with this inside and gave it to me. He'd heard I was into retro games and found this in his attic ... TMNT Hyperstone Heist and that quickshot stick

I walked into a charity shop randomly and there was one backwards ps2 case inbetween the old FIFA's and shovelware games.

    2 euros :D.

Shame there's no 60hz but still, very very good for 2 euros.
