They all look to be in really decent condition too. I'd say you're delighted!

Ah the guy who dropped them to me gave me a great hand getting them in so no disassembly required.

Hotd popped the tyres on my hand truck immediately, absolute beast of a cab

Anyone take the Star Wars Trilogy? if the Video board is working its worth a few quid. Its Sega model 3 step 2.1 i think. That video board is worth about 300 sterling on its own.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,599 ✭✭✭BGOllie

    yep it's found a home :)

Nice! Ive 3 Video boards with issues at home, trying to get one sorted for Sega Rally 2. Havent got around to looking at them yet.

Great finds there, nicework lads! Goes to show there are still cabs hiding away out there!

I'm just glad they are staying in Ireland and not going across the water never to be seen again.

I'll definitely have an arcade night once I get all my cabs up and running if any of ye would be up for that

4 pinballs and 5 arcade cabs now. Think I'm at capacity, but it's a nice little arcade setup in the making

    What I'd do for a HotD2 cab...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,599 ✭✭✭BGOllie

that was the whole plan on this one. Kept it quiet for ages and made sure all the cabs were going to actual collectors who could restore them fully and not flip or part them . Ended up making a few friends in the process too :)

That's all great news to hear, fair play lads! Last thing we need is more leaving these shores.

Any lists floating about as to what was saved?

    Looking good :)

Now, go and prevent the confusion in the city!

Realised that probably no one will get that quote. It's part of the hilariously bad/excellent dialogue from house of the dead 2 :p

I'll probably just bang a keyboard in it and play typing of the dead

would be shame to strip a star wars trilogy in decent cond for a video board considering its a good game.

I wasnt suggesting that at all for the record! not a chance haha, just pointing out how hard it is to find a working one these days.

aye i suppose it was worth pointing out incase the cab wasnt being kept ! model 3 and hikaru's seem to be about the worst from sega not that any of them seem to be great builds overall.

Yeh, ive 3 non working video boards at home, there is a lad in the UK that fixes them but he charges 180-200 sterling i think, i emailed him a while back. I plan on trying to fix one or two of them myself, nothing to lose as they already dont work! just havent got around to it yet.

The monitor inside it must be some variant of a Sony 29" Trinitron...
