Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I see the ultracheap 3ds titles have evaporated from the new Argos catalogue, no sign of the new 3ds either.

I know, I'm raging. Was going to pick up steel diver today for €3.99 but it was gone :( they still have them on their eBay store though

I've booked a 26 euro copy of Skylanders Swapforce for the WiiU in Argos, seems like one of the only gaming bargains in the catalogue.

I was going to pick up Children of Mana too for a tenner and then get 3DS Ace Combat for free - but one of the fivers I had ripped in half as I took it out of my wallet  talk about bad luck.

That might have been a bleesing in disguise. I remember playing Children of Mana a long time ago and it was boring as hell, nothing like the Snes game from what I recall.

Any mana game after seiken densetsu 3 is absolute poison. There's a rts game and dawn is just bananas where they tried to incorporate Havok physics into an action RPG.

Even Sword of Mana which is a remake of the first mana game on gameboy (final fantasy adventure) is worse than the game it is an update of. FF adventure is a quick action packed and unpretentious game. Sword of Mana has the heroes debating for 15 minutes whether the main villain called Dark Lord is really evil or just misunderstood.

Eek! Here I was leaving Gamestop all upset with a torn fiver and crushed dreams of missing out on the next installment of the Mana series.

I shall tape my fiver back together and put it to better use :D

I found a copy of Etrian Odyssey in my local GS.
Despite the site saying it's out of stock, if you go to the map you can, at times, find stores with limited stocks, then call to confirm.
Nipping in on my lunch to grab it.
Thought it was one I'd have to import tbh

Another GS has Etrian Odyssey IV for the 3DS but its steep, at €44.99, a little pricey tbh.

Nice one! Was it also under a tenner?

Yup, just heading now to grab it.
For the Etrian Odyssey 4 money I can buy it on Amazon and save the petrol money to Naas, thats the only GS that's confirmed they have a copy in stock.
Still, it is one of the highest rated 3DS titles so far.

got some good grabs today at a few car boot sales. 10 for the psOne (with box) and games were 1 each from 4 different stalls.
Rare to see some megadrive games in the wild these days, let alone complete with box & manuals
...just need a wii to play with now :D

    Dammit!
    No Etrian Odyssey for me!

They told me they had it in swords and, heading in on my break I find they have the instructions and nothing else.
I'd say they put the box and game out on the shelf and someone half inched it.

Happily another branch has it and I'm heading over tomorrow, fingers crossed!

Interestingly, the girl on the phone knew the game, didn't need the name spelled out and knew it was a tricky one to come by.

Playasia and VGP do the packs of the 3 DS Etrian Odyssey games for decent money. You are much better off get that before they sell out.

We'll see how we get on with the first one.
All going well I'll pick up the other DS titles from VGP.
The Eu 3DS games though are top dollar right now, will wait to see if there is a price drop.

Finally caught up with Etrian Odyssey, 9.97 in GS Charlestown.
Also picked up Swapforce on the PS3 for Cidonalad for 26.99 in Argos Swords.
    So that's us both happy!

As a matter of interest, where did you get it and how high is the CP from the floor?

It's one of the Aeros from the 'Granny's arcade' find over in Japan. Ronnie in the Netherlands bought them all. Sells them in Europe. This is just the first container that's come through, some been some more on the way.

It's a sit down cab, so the control panel is low. Same distance as my other two. You sit yourself on a chair and away you go. None of this standing lark :D

Have you committed Oisin? Might be worth getting some close up photos of the service door and coin door area. Looks like a bit of rust.

Don't mean to be p1ssing on your parade by the way! Rust was my enemy for a while.

Yeah I saw that alright, should be grand though, I've similar rust on my SNK cab coin box. Just a few flecks. It's an inevitability with full metal cabs this old. Only way you'll avoid that is with NOS.

Other than that, it's in great cosmetic condition for it's age. Looks like I'll have to do a bit of scrubbing to get rid of that nicotine on the sides but that's about it.

Apparently the monitor is perfect with zero burn. Kind of glad to hear that as a load of cabs were running porno games - I can only imagine the burn in possibilities

Being shipped on Thursday. Beers in mine soon? :D

Wanted to hold off until the Pony was back in action but feck it, two cabs will have to do!

He has about 50 of them arriving so I'd say there are more than enough to go around.

Shipping has gone up, used to be 195, now it's 268 :( - even more expensive if you're not around Dublin.

does Ronnie only do full size cabs?

Well, depends what you mean by full sized really :)

My three are midi size, so they're a decent enough bit smaller than the 29 inch ones which you could consider full sized.

Then there are mini candy cabs but they usually cost about 1750

I usually hear such things referred to as "Damo sized" from my mates!
