I find the staff in the Santry branch to be pretty decent.
The games do have to be checked though.
That said, I have been in a queue, awaiting my turn to pay for my goodies and I've seen people being turned away who were selling games that were used as coasters and consoles with dodgy controllers, so somewhere the quality control is breaking down, perhaps it's down to the management of individual stores?
Again, I've had zero complaints shopping in Santry's CEX branch.

Speaking of CEX was looking through DS games to play and saw The first Layton game which I never finished. Thought I'd give that a go. Opened it up and the second Layton game is inside. Whoever packed it just shoved the game and manual in since the manual for the first game is already the. Another fecking DS game I'll have to try and pick up again and try and not get a pirate.

You've 40/45 days I think to file a claim, I dunno if you're in or out of time yet but you can file a claim and if they reply or arrive cancel it but you can't do it twice.
I ordered Juon online from CEX but I never checked the box. I rearranged my room so I'll check it later with other stuff I got.

All these stories made me think of that time a guy in GS giving me and empty box, lucky it wasn't the first time and they sorted me out.

Picked up Chrono Trigger NDS in GS earlier. Guy behind the desk was devastated I found it "trade it in when your finished so I can have it" lol he had a DSi and couldn't get a EU version

Honest chap. Could've easily done the ole "sorry I can't find the cartridge" trick and kept it for himself.

I believe it was on site in kilkee until a few years ago.
Got it off an op that just does poker now. Said he skipped all the "old" stuff just last year ;(
