Tripod adaptor

    Hi All , New here , first post on this section , I am looking for an adaptor to fit on top of My tripod to replace the Tilt & Pan head . It looks like a pistol grip,that you squeeze to allow it to move , and release to lock. I dont know what it is called but have seen them used on spotting scopes. This has probobly been covered in another thread , if so can someone direct me to same or any help in finding one of these fittings would be appreciated.
