    Bye bye Suarez.
Just make we get every penny out of Barca for him. And Sanchez.

Liverpool FC will hold talks with Barcelona on Wednesday after the Spanish giants finally made an approach to sign Luis Suarez.

The ECHO understands that Reds chief executive Ian Ayre has agreed to meet a delegation from Barcelona in London.

It will mark the start of negotiations between the clubs over a potential deal for the Uruguayan striker.

Ayre will also take the opportunity to step up Liverpool's pursuit of Barca attacker Alexis Sanchez.

Yeah he looks very good. But a year in France will do him good.

They need a body or 2 in the middle and a center half.

I see Spurs were in for him, too. Obviously.

And obviously, he wanted Champo League. Players seem to like that. Someone should have told Spurs. They're always going in for the same players, they should have probably tried to go in for Champo League. Someone should tell them.

Suarez, the media magnet, to Barca...in 2014. Ah, now.

We should offer 30m and Aspas for Neymar

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Seems we are going to try and make Sanchez key to any Suarez transfer. Or else the full release clause has to be paid.

We are gonna have a busy summer if Suarez goes signing wise.

Bad move by club selling him imo

I'd lose my Sh1t, if we signed Bertrand.

Looks very Ordinary, everytime I've seen him.

Hope we are close to this Origi deal. I can see a lot of clubs suddenly getting interested otherwise.

Lovern yes and I would rather overpay £4m for Moreno than buy Bertrand.

Yeah I was hoping we would be signing players to play alongside Suarez. Not instead of him.

Not sure what else the club can do though? They made him stay once. Not sure that would work again.

Divock Origi looks like a really good prospect.

This time last year we were fighting to hold onto Suarez. We really don't need to sell him now. The British media just want to see the back of him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,791 ✭✭✭✭Charlie19

USA seem to have team Carraghers.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,090 ✭✭✭cunnifferous

Haven't seen us linked with a RB yet either. I'd be pretty unhappy with Glen as 1st choice RB for next season.

Club cant do anything if the clause is met in this case id imagine.

Not sure what the media have to do with Ayre meeting Barca reps.

Any chance Suarez will be loaned back next season?

Bertrand would be such a pointless signing. No better than either Flanagan or Enrique.

Don't think we have much of a choice imo. After last season I reckon he was promised this move if they came in. He will force it through and I reckon the club are tired of his antics there silence after the latest incident says it all.

    Yup.

They have several Players, that I think, would easily make Low-to-Mid-Table EPL Clubs. Bedoya and Bradley in particular.

Yedlin, I wouldn't mind taking a Punt on. Only 20yo, and he'd probably Cost cheap.

Richards has been mentioned again. Good player, would be happy with him if price was ok

    Until end of October supposedly

    Maybe they have no choice.

Amazed that Suarez is not getting more criticism on here for seemingly pushing for a transfer again. You can't expect the club and manager to put up with that all the time

No matter how great a player he is I thnk he's treating Liverpool and its fans like sh1t.

We should try and get Montoya and Alba with Sanchez off Barca. That would both fullback positions sorted.

    Richards, who? Micah?

If it's Micah, then we're going Backwards. Since he's not an Upgrade over Glenjo.

Well he has gone about it in a much better way than last year. To be honest, I felt he was gone once he signed the new contract, you just knew there was an added clause to it.

If Liverpool want Sanchez as part of the Suarez deal they'll need to do a lot more than Ayre trying to negotiate in London with Barca officials.
They need to make contact with Sanchez's agent asap and then the player himself. Make him feel wanted, sell the idea that Liverpool want him to replace Suarez. The idea of filling the boots of world class talent might help sell the notion to Sanchez.

He's playing for Belgium in the World Cup. I think he's more than a prospect in fairness

A great prospect I would say. Only turned 19 a few months ago.

In a few years he could be scary good.

    I wasn't criticising the chap.

He isn't an established star yet is he?

Yeah its a half decent side and great team spirit.

Yedlin gets forward a lot but I did notice he failed to track back on Hazard but I suppose thats only to be expected with the amount of forward runs he makes.

I really like Bradley, nearly everything the US do looks to go through him.

He's (Origi) a good bit behind Lukaku and Benteke but he has talent.

Played well for such a young man tonight.
