Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sabella obviously doesn't want any other players in contention to be crowned 'Best in the world' feeling embarrassed by what Messi could do if he played the 90.

Holy sh*t Alkin, worst commentary ever just there. "Maradona or Messi, who can you even question who was better. Maradona never got close to that number of goals."

Maradona was a midfielder. That was intensely cringe worthy.

Classic symptoms of verbal diarrhoea alright.

Classic symptoms of verbal diarrhoea alright.

By that logic it isn't now and never has been a discussion the. Pele is better than both of them by a mile.

    Romario too.

He played roughly 55 mins in the first game against Iran and was terrible.

Goodness me Nigeria not done yet.

Lavazzis life story should star Robert Downey jr.

Nicely worked free kick there by Argentina.

"Brilliantly improvised" says Beglin for the Argie freekick. Was clearly rehearsed, Jim.

Could have wrapped it up there.

Musa has played so well today for a young man. Only 21.

Should be a great game between France and Nigeria.

France should be very, very nervous about playing that Nigerian team. Assuming France top the group.

Best player in the world carries his second rate team mates to victory and manages to do it in just over 60 minutes.

I thought Di Maria should have been taken off and rested. He's had a fantastic season, but looked exhausted during the last 10 minutes.

Richie talking nonsense. Kenny's right. You can't do that.

Think ritchie is just calling out kenny for being angry all the time. Richie for once doesn't talk sense.

Lavezzi a big improvement over a clearly unfit Aguero. I would still be tempted to drop lady gago and maybe fernandez, start biglia and dimichelis.

Reaction here is pretty positive, because defending apparently isnt important.

I say it was a much improved performance but rotten defensively.
