Which tattoo shop is the best?

I'm thinking of getting my first tattoo in Dublin in September when I'll be starting college. I'm wanting the word 'Wanderlust' on my foot. Just simple script. I was thinking of Zulu tattoo but thought Wildcat might be cheaper, and of the same standard according to reviews. Does anyone know how much a small foot tattoo would roughly cost? I've no idea! Any reviews would be helpful.

Don't go somewhere just because it's cheap. As a general rule of thumb, cheap work isn't good and good work isn't cheap. Any of the reputable places like colour works, spilled ink or wildcat should be able to do some script. Go visit some studios have a chat to some artists and see who you like. Most places charge €80-100 per hour so I'd say around that price.

I'll parrot the cheap =/= good point!

Have a look at a few portfolios, especially those who would specialise in script.

Oh no I didn't mean I was looking for somewhere to do it cheap necessarily, I just meant if two tattoo shops are of a similar standard but one's a cheaper rate, then I'd probably lean more towards that one.

Not to jump on this, but I'd go on the talent of the artist over the price. Artistic merit first, then price comes second.

Any affiliations with said parlour? :pac:

Tbh, just a word inked won't be a challenge for any artist, and thus won't be expensive.
Draw it exactly like you want it and show a few artists. Ask for photos of similar work and ask for a price.

Always dislike these types of threads.
There's artists out there that specialise in certain styles. I know of artists who could do a tribal tattoo perfect without looking at the arm but a drawing of a horse they'd struggle. Then there are some who specialise in everything..
My biggest problem is when a artist does a tattoo style he isn't proper good at.
It's all Depending on your style your after. Ask around who specialises in what.

I've searched around on portfolios of various artists around Dublin but none have much script work. At the end of the day, it's just a simple lettering tattoo, hence why I was asking on here, because I can't find any artists script work as most do actual images.

Yeah they moved to ormond quay recently enough so that's why it wouldn't be on google maps.

For script if it was I'd be looking at Rob Mulligan in Colourworks personally but as others have said any decent studio should be able to handle it.
