Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Would hope to keep our run going, Athlone seem to be improving though.

Nothing better than an hour and half at Belfield to get away from it all, the biting and controversy, unless Bayly plays..

    Badly need a win tonight!

We are missing Oman and Browne through suspensions and possibly Hoare and O'Brien through injury. Could be a makeshift defence tonight of McCormack-Foran-Chambers-Bermo. Bray might also have some suspensions.

I still think we will win but it will be tougher than expected.

Danny O'Connor retiring, few first teamers injured and lost 5-0 last time out against Bohs.

Hoban still recovering from his operation and McMillan suspended so it looks as though it will either be Byrne or Griffin up front for us. Hopefully Byrne gets the nod. Derry away is always tough and with the teams around us having relatively easy games it's important we don't lose this evening.

Athlone 2-0 up away to Bohs. Knew they'd go on a run after beating us.

Dinny just Equalised and I just lost my voice.

Dinny also missed a penalty...much better 2nd half from bohs. Devaney was excellent when he came on.

Derry played a whole lot better tonight, things looking a bit more positive for us.

Disappointed with Dundalk, they didn't seem as sharp as I was expecting them to be. Lucky to get the equalizer with a deflected shot in injury time.

Look out for Michael Duffys goal on Soccer Republic, rocket.

Comfortable win tonight over a very aggressive Wexford side.

Longford's win sets up next week's meeting nicely. :)

Poor game but the 2nd and 3rd goals were top notch.

    Limerick were poor going forward.

Yeah, far more nervy at the end than I'd have liked. Jake Kellys free kick was a great strike. Our goals were all lovely moves. Chambers superb tonight.

The bus i was travelling on to the Dundalk v Derry match broke down in Aughnacloy.By the time a replacement arrived it was way too late to get to the match :(
I knew it would be a tight enough affair up there and so it was it seem's.Sign of a good side when they score in injury time +5,never say die attitude from Dundalk. We'll take it :)

I thought it was decent of Stephen Kenny to balance up the sides when we went down to 10 men by bringing on Higgins !!

Was it not his break and cross to Meenan that set-up Towell for the equalizer?

Very very agressive, not tactics to be proud of at all. Their number 8 was a nasty character.

UCD very poor. Despite Sheppard, Kilduff, Finn and Zayed on the pitch at the end, Rovers never really looked like adding to the two goals.

Bayly looked good, even got a round of applause as he went off...still picked up a booking.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

First half: Hoof. Lose ball. Repeat.
Second half: Bring on Devaney who actually gets the ball down and goes on a run.

Pathetic from Bohs again and not good enough despite the draw.

Athlone's first goal was great and took us apart completely. We lacked anything remotely creative at home again.

Why we didn't apply the same tactics as per Bray/Limerick I'll never know. Insanity from Heary who needs to unshackle the players.

How were Bray as a whole? I'm hoping this isn't another mid-season collapse like last year or 2.

Need Jake Kelly to stay fit badly. He was very good last night, free kick was stunning. Needs a hair cut badly though. Rest of the team were ordinary enough.

Our defence was very poor last night even if it was a patchwork defence of Foran and O'Brien. Chambers was briliant and deserved a goal himself. We were deserveing winners but we made it a good bit harder for ourselfs.
