Anyone know any details of a reliable taxi driver to do a very early morning run to the airport? Not interested in Aircoach, takes too long!

Anytime I use Hailo I get John Burke and his team - you could try booking them and negotiating a price in advance :)
There are quite a few others around though. They are the firm with the green Prius'. This is their site - http://gogreencabs.ie/

    €75 is what I pay.
    €95-100 if metered.

I thought it was Dublin Airport not Shannon.

Might not seem far, but it's a 110km round-trip for the driver via M50, or 80km if you want to risk going through the city.

Compare cost with €18 by Aircoach (€36 return).

how much is your time worth? - the Aircoach is desperately slow (also if you have a few people travelling the Aircoach is bad value compared to a cab or long-term parking).

Return fare is €21 pp. Single fare is €15 pp

Thanks for the correction John. So even better value, though it may not suit everybody if time is crucial.

Take it up with the Taxi regulator. It's not the drivers who set the meter.
