Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I wonder if Neymar knows he's playing with two idiots.

    Chile should've scored

Can't believe there are so many mistakes at the back from both sides.

The defending at this World Cup has been shocking in the main.

    Entertaining game so far

Took Chile at 9/2 after it went 1-1

Brazil aren't all that, Chile look more dangerous up front

    Fred is a shocking footballer

    Hope Fred is injured.

    Great game so far

Couldn't see what happened with that scramble around the goal before the corner but some Chile players were claiming handball.

Suspiciously, they didn't show it in a replay.

Why is the ref so reluctant to book Brazillian players?

Medel to get sent off in the second half.

Ha. Fred waits til the half time whistle has gone to get involved.

If Neymar gets injured Brazil are gone. Their defense is awful and don't get me started on Fred & Hulk.

Fred is muck. Unbelievable that they can't find a better option than him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

Brazil playing well, unlucky to be only level at half time. Chile look dangerous on the break but only for some lucky deflections, they should be hehind.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 280 ✭✭Hey Yall

Very good attacking game so far but Brazil could be running away with this if they didn't have hulk and Fred on. Useless.

    Saw that.

Think they didn't show the replay because Brazil were attacking.

Theres a lot of dead weight in this Brazil team.

Hulk is awful, to think Zenit paid around 40m for him. If he lost 5+ kg he might resemble a footballer, might.

Can win what? This match? They have been easily the better team.

Hope the second half keeps the pace as high as the first half.

    Great game.

Cant believe there gonna give Luiz that first goal.

I find it hard to believe that Fred is the pinnacle of strikers in Brazil

They could pick a kid up off the streets who would do as well but have a lot more flair than that joke

Howard Webb doesn't book players or give penalties!

    Terms and conditions apply :-)

The RTÉ panel really do not like Hulk!

I'm hoping for a Chile win here, mainly because I get the impression that the Brazilian nation team and their supporters think that they are gods gift to Soccer, I would just love to see them put up one.

Edit: Their goalie and defence are pure dodge though; particularly the goalie, the amount of times he has flapped at things this World Cup is probably more than any other goalkeeper.

absolutely, chile living off mistakes made by brasil, if neymar has someone half useful in front of him it would be over.

Very true. I think Brazil have been ok in this tournament despite the criticism but Fred is a big negative for them?

Whatever happened Damaio? He was their main striker in the Olympics.

Don't know how Hulk still starts .. They need someone quicker and sharper like Willian or Bernard

And that's the problem, apart from a couple of donkeys, he has basically nobody in front of him.

I have to disagree with everyone saying it's a great game. The standard of play is shocking.

    They don't want flair...they want a winner..even if it's Fred.

Poor game still, almost no build-up play, both sides living off miscontrols and the ball breaking from tackles in defence. It's a bit like Honduras v Ecuador, there's a lake of crocodiles in the middle.

Hulk was a stonewall penalty according to the panel. Such rubbish as usual.

Rio, Shearer and Hansen agree it was a penalty too.

Scolari doesn't want traditional Brazilian flair, skill or panache. He is almost anti-Brazilian football. For connoisseurs of Brazil, the appointment of Scolari was regarded as a disaster.

I think it's dawned on the Brazilian fans, they're going out.

Brazil are the host nation most tickets were sold before the world cup and surprise surprise Brazilians bought them. Any neutral their will also have a Brazil jersey on as well. Some of the Brazil hate on here is ridiculous.
