Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

And people wonder why some get on RTE about lack of research.

In the group stages they said he was sold to Monaco as part of the Falcao deal. Despite the playing for separate teams at the time.

He said it again earlier tonight.

Bill reckons Rodriguez could emerge from this tournament as a star. Monaco spent €45m last year on him ffs

Depends on how it's meant. He never really kicked on much I thought he would at club level despite the talent for Porto or even Monaco last season. End product was questionable. But I said on here before their first game that this tournament would be the making of him, to really take his game to the next level where it should have been already.

Different with the RTE lads, Bill certainly anyway who had no idea who he was before this tournament though :pac:

Wonder would they have played so well with Falcao in the team?

Brazil got a dodgy pen against Croatia apart from that I can't see the boards obsession with the refs are favouring Brazil stuff. They have got the benefit of some marginal calls and have also suffered from some marginal calls.

But it is a factor, everytime a Brazillian goes down in the box most of the stadium will be roaring for him to give a peno, it'll take a strong ref to ignore it, though Webb had a good game today apart from that dodgy handball call.

This team has been the best to watch in the tournament so far, Love watching them.... Eamo loves to be controversial " not a good team" sorry Eamo but comments like this make you look yet again like a CLOWN!!!

They are owned by 3rd parties, its hardly the same 3rd party owning the 2 players? (I'm not sure who the 3rd parties involved were) If it is, you could consider it part of the same deal. But knowing them, they werent thinking like that and they just made a balls of it
Possibly, not too sur.e But like you said, that is WAY too much credit to RTE. All they implied was tat it was one sale for bot players, quite sure they mentioned Falcaos fee alone, too.

    WWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Lovely goal. Indeed, the manager would get more satisfaction out of that goal than the first one.

His form wasnt good but he's still young. He has all the attributes to be a world beater. RTE had not a clue about him before this tournament. The researchers on the production team might of been able to dig out some snippets from the UCL matches they covered and gave them some lines to say about the player but the boys are continually found wanting when it comes football outside of the EPL.

Columbias movement is unreal. Seem really aware of how to make space to receive the ball

It's happened once in 4 games other teams have got dodgy decisions as well. This happens in every game of football when the home team is involved the crowd roar for decisions. Their has been no evidence of Brazil receiving a glut of favourable decisions but it's been constantly mentioned.
