Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Why do managers always take off players who are on a hat-trick? Fair enough if the game is completely over and you want to rest him. But he was taken off with 10 minutes left and the game wasn't 100% over.


    I've heard before that they like to give the players a standing ovation which is a rediculous, unprofessional reason.

    Seems to be a lot more common if they have scored two goals though. Rodriguez wasn't taken off against Ivory Coast or Greece for example; even when they were 2-0 up against Greece and he hadn't scored.

    Same with Messi when he scored two against Nigeria. They were only 3-2 up with 27 minutes left so the game was still up for grabs. He didn't get taken off against Bosnia when they were 2-0 up and he only had one goal.
