Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sadliers face when Kenny speaks ha ha.

Nigeria doing very well so far. Might not look so good for them in the second half if Dechamps changes it up.

Kenny is so rigid and intense. He's probably a nice fella, but he just reminds me of one of those old fashioned type teachers you'd have in secondary school.

    A pain to deal with.

This is that really weird point where the thing to do is sub a player at half time but they're always given 15-20 mins anyway.

Giroud won't do anything unless France go ahead and the game opens up.

Sadliers face when Kenny speaks ha ha.

He's his only threat really. I'm sure he looks down on the old boys club.

I havent been able to look at Kenny Cunningham without laughing since the Apres Match sketch the other night.. They really captured the robotic nature of his delivery...

The panel is right the ref is a coward.

As much as he is almost charismatic from his lack of charisma, Kenny absolutely hit the nail on the head there about the non penalty for Evra. Not brave enough, happens a lot in these circumstances.

Pharrell Williams must have earned more from this World Cup than FIFA...

Looking at a replay of the Evra hold again, a shocking decision by the Ref letting Evra & France off the hook.

Giroud ... Dear God.... he really has been poor today..

Giroud does well then over hits the cross by about 30 yards

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,319 ✭✭✭Al_Coholic

ref should be giving Valbuena a yellow there for diving

Is Alkin some sort of Adonis or something?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

He might be better served concentrating on cutting out some of his nonsense refereeing, instead of trying to be everyone's friend.
I know, was just commenting on the latest Kerrism. In his own funny way he's an absolutely fantastic commentator. :p

Didn't know Italy had 5 world cup wins.

My guess is FIFA offered to just not harm his family in exchange for use of the song. They will be released from Blatter's penthouse hotel room the morning after the final.

I know, I just took that opportunity to give my two pence worth on the Ref.

France don't look like scoring, Benzema has barely had a touch, Giroud is just plain.

    That could be red.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

If that's what it is going to take to get just a yellow...

  • Registered Users Posts: 149 ✭✭Biddy_61

Deffo red card. Ref is useless.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

This referee has been awful. That's as clear a red as you'll ever see.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,205 ✭✭✭Gringo180

disgusting tackle red card all day long

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,319 ✭✭✭Al_Coholic

That's a red ref ffs. Shocking tackle

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

Could, and perhaps should, have been a red.

Have either of them actually got a decent pass in the final third? Why are France just lumping the ball forward as well?

Matuidi has put in some shocking challenges today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

Gets worse the more you see it.

Ref two yards away as well.

The game gets out of control with poor referees.
That was a red card all day long.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,526 ✭✭✭Slicemeister

He's cost them a penalty and a man. Very poor from the ref.

Either way, 1st down and 10.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,370 ✭✭✭✭Son Of A Vidic

The Ref will do his best to make sure the French win this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,688 ✭✭✭✭Muahahaha

This ref just wants to cruise through this game without making any big decisions or being seen to cause controversy. Which means he is letting clear penalties and red cards slip by. Terrible reffing.

That's just sad as much as anything else. Such quality play in this world cup so far and piss poor officiating like that just wrecking it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,292 ✭✭✭GreNoLi

    C'mon Nigeria.

Stephen Alkin thinks Italy won the 94 World Cup.

Nigeria are going to be mugged here in the last minute.

That was a horrible challenge, worse than any bite--- A broken ankle

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

Nigeria can feel sufficiently robbed, so far.

No penalty, and now two red cards against French players not given.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,762 ✭✭✭Birdnuts

He's cost them a penalty and a man. Very poor from the ref.

Either way, 1st down and 10.

France have certainly benefitted in recent years from "sympathetic" referreeing deceisions.

Loved the classless French idiots signing their national anthem, as the Nigerian lad was taken off. Fúcking saps.

Griezmann on for Giroud. About 63 mins too late.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,224 ✭✭✭✭SantryRed

That change could have been made after 30 minutes.

Giroud off while fixing his impeccable hair.

He might have been useless but his hair is in good shape. Well done lad

I bet the first man sent off, if any, is a Nigerian.
