Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Absolutely zero composure, communication or balance to Germany so far.

Like honestly, dafuq would play four CBs in a high line and wide CBs bombing forward like they're lives depended on it.

If this fool had any sense, at HT he'd take off Boetang, move Höwedes to CB (Ginter I'd opt for though) and bring on Durm at LB. Then either move Lahm to RB or replace Mustafi with Grosskreutz. Instead, he's probably daydreaming of playing Robben and Ribery to complete his Bayern dream.

Özil one of the few Germans performing

Himself and Neuer seem to be the only ones performing, the rest are all over the place.

Although for Neuer hes covering his back line.

Mullers getting no real service here either.

Trying to work out the German formation, looks all over the place.

    V strange German lineup.

What is this Lahm at CM ****? They can't afford to not use their only full back

Germany will probably take an undeserved lead and then go to a 10-0-0 formation.

This is great for the Germans, they'll get a win here and the early pressure will force Lahm into the back line.

Bar maybe muller and goetze the germans have feck all pace in em

Is it now an unwritten rule that Lahm must play in midfield? What was wrong with being the best full back in the world? Germany are not short on midfielders, they are pretty feckin short on balance right now though and the defensive make up and tactics are a joke.

Hope they get egg on their face because of it

Ozil the only one playing well for Germany

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,755 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

    Muller confirms Germany are rattled.

    Phil Neville > Lahm

If they don't drastically change their tactics at half time i would absolutely love it if they got knocked out.

At least four times now that Ozil's final ball has let him down. Only one performing is Neuer.

Great game so far. Algeria should be ahead really.

I bet Germany won't play like this against Ireland in the Euro qualifiers.

    Joachim Low will be sacked...

The Germans will gradually wear them down as usual.
Will end up 2 nil to Germany.

Algeria are more dynamic and committed than we can ever hope to be. They're serious athletes with pace in abundance, a completely different kettle of fish from us.

Algeria showing signs of over confidence.

The way they played the last 2 games they couldn't even be overly confident against Malta or Luxemburg.

Complete nonsense, Not one of them Algerian players would be fit to lace Wards boots.

It's like watching Bayern minus Robben

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 241 ✭✭bitemeluis

The referee stands in the way on the edge of the box when Germany are building an attack - he's like an extra Algerian defender

Algerian Goalkeeper looks like Morpheus with a beard! :pac:

Ireland are well capable of playing as good as this Algerian team, its just our players havent got the balls to have a real go at a team. Remember our game in Paris we absolutely battered France, only time I have ever seen an Irish team play with no fear.
