Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Both keepers can be very proud of themselves so far.

    Germany, coupon busters.

Hope Algeria put them out now.

Why that sort of response to someone? I think he's had a pretty average game too. Hasnt made great use of the ball at all.

Ha ha. I wonder how he keeps his place in the team then.
Maybe some of you should be managing Germany :pac:
He rarely gives the ball away.

This game is unreal, just waiting now for the introduction of Klose to take the record and put the Germans through.

Oh and I agree with the commentator regarding Ozil, he has lost the ball quite a few times in this game. I think he should be off for Klose with Muller moving to the right and Shurrle to the left side.

For the Algerian players who are observing Ramadan, I'm amazed at the performance they just put in. But I fear it might become really significant in extra time.

Looking at the way Germany, France and Argentina are playing Brazil actually could win this thing.

I think the Germans win it easily enough, Algeria have talent but lack physicality imo.
    3-0 Germany.

    All on the button!

They aren't fasting because they travelled so far from home. There's a certain distance away from your home that you're exempt. No way they could have put in that kind of performance fasted.

Fair play to Algeria for holding Germany, a credit to themselves.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 906 ✭✭✭Ompala

Bloody hell, mad game of football altogether!

Was certain Algeria would score on the counter so many times during that

And so unlike the germans to miss those chances

And I was called crazy by my friend when I said to avoid this match, Algeria have a point to prove and they still seem annoyed from the 80s ha. Quick team too, and that German back line isn't exactly the makings of a 4 man relay team.

Ok (I'll probably be proved wrong) Germany to lose on penalties...imagine the papers in England

Germany cost me my double of them and France.

Schweinsteiger costs me my bet of him to score and Germany to win at the end.

Then they score effortlessly within 2 mins of extra time.

    Boo! :(

Though Germany vs France is a much more appealing quarter final than Algeria vs France, admittedly.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,460 ✭✭✭Ishmael

    Schuuurle you can't be serious!

Typical, backed the germans to win after 60 mins and they waste chance after chance, 1 minute into et they decide to score

Is Jose on the Twitterer machine yet? Bollox to it.

Algeria have to push on now and will probably concede more.

A rub of the green with that slight deflection.

Dunno, apart from their Spanish peformance they haven't been amazing either.

Don't write the Algerian's off yet, they are fighters.
