Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Only a matter of time before Belgium score. Hazard coming into it more.

USA need to go on the offense now.

Hazard so bright, bursting with ideas, the speed of his feet are matched only by his speed of thought.

As opposed to a player who uses his feet and then thinks about what he's going to do with them...

Anyone else think de Bruyne is very overrated? I've never seen anything special with him.

Never been overly impressed with him myself, though I can't say I've seen him play more than a handful of times

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

    I wouldn't worry about him.

His family will be on Liveline tomorrow to apologise for his outrageous antics.

    Bad bad miss by Suzi

Quality of the crosses by Belgium is horrendous.

Kompany has been brutal for Belgium. What's happened to him?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

There's a Vincent Kompany special. A needless tackle in an area where the opposing player is going nowhere which costs him a yellow card.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,177 ✭✭✭TheTownie

    Send the blagard off.

    Feckin' scoundrel.

These belgian players need to realise that they cant stand in the way of freedom.
Freedom will score a goal and win out in the end.

Just in. Come on USA - Love to see them win 2-0.

Prob said before but that de Brun guy is the image of Prince Harry. Tried to watch a Belgium game twice before but I was bored. On the other hand, I've really enjoyed all the US matches so far. They're not the best players but they never give up.

    That half went fast.

    6th goalless first half in a row...strange.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,292 ✭✭✭GreNoLi

Fellaini should be on special teams.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

Belgium are interesting to me, a bit like Riquelme used to be.

He was so good, so incisive, and so clinical... and made it look effortless

Belgium are so average, so blunt, and so toothless... and yet they too, make it look truly effortless.

    That half went fast.

I changed over to the 900s I got so bored. Nothing there neither:-(

They sorted it before a riot broke out, don't worry!

Another view. Great to see so many people there even if they are ruining the grass my bears have to use on the way to the superbowl this year :(

I know, just think of all the passes Hayward and Shields should be catching from Cutler this season. The field better not get too cut up.

They mentioned on the BBC commentary that the Americans have done more than four times the travelling than the Belgians during the World Cup. Could play a factor in the second half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,115 ✭✭✭Boom__Boom

Origi looks very composed for a lad with so little senior experience - 45 first team appearances for Lille

    Also trivia fact

On 25 June 2014, a baby dolphin at the Boudewijn Seapark in Bruges, Belgium was baptised "Origi" in his honour after having scored the winning goal against Russia during their group stage match at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
