Double or trible adapter sockets and energy use

This is probably a silly question but do these adapters (if a double adapter) use more or the same or less energy compared to 2 plugs been plugged into 2 wall sockets seperetly

They use the exact same.

Separate plugs is better though, as it spreads the load over more pins. For light loads they are OK though.
