Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This commentator is disgraceful saying pats need to be cynical and waste time to keep the lead. Pats are well worth their lead without turning to those tactics.

Ban him setanta please, sooner these apes have no voice in Irish football the sooner we might succeed

If Pats win this we'll have to listen to Dreamers tell us how important Pats are to our co-efficient for the next 5 years.

    C'mon Legia. :pac:

Warsaw putting more pressure on the ball and Pats have abandoned trying to pass it. Need to be calmer in possession.

the folder with the tactics is out...

Legia are getting a lot of questionable/soft calls from the ref

    Over reaction much?

You have to use your head and a bit of cynicism whenever you need it late in games of such importance, naive to suggest otherwise.

    Legia running out of ideas?

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

Pats are going to get all three points here I think, Legia have the possession but are clueless in front of goal.

No I wouldn't call it an overreaction because it seems to be a trend with Irish people. Seen it mentioned here too. They could have been 2 nil up without turning playing like that so why change. Surely be disciplined and follow track your man would be better advice than go down and stay down and kill the clock.

Not an attack on you just one of those things I don't find acceptable and you know there's hundreds of underage coaches up and down the country who teach their teams to do that when winning.

Just noticed you said late in the game. He said this before half time.

Anyone come on pats come on, be great for the league

Pat's living dangerously here. Dropping too deep.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

Backs to the wall from Pats here, great defensive display.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,496 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

That clearence by Clarke...like a great rugby kick, great distance and just goes out. Hope they keep it up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,374 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

Why go to the corner. There are 5 minutes plus injury time..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,508 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Crinklewood

Too early to head to the corner.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,526 ✭✭✭✭Darkglasses

Not liking this from Pats. Legia could so easily nick one

    Sickener.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

    Sickening. Still a good result.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,374 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

Can't say they don't deserve it. Pats f*cked up playing so deep.

They still have an away goal and you never know what might happen next week.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

    Hmm, that was coming.

Hope they hold out for the draw now.
Regardless, next week should be interesting to say the least.

    Agreed that they deserved it

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,806 ✭✭✭corny

You get what you deserve. Pats could have exposed them on the break with a tiny bit of composure.

Pat's have to fancy their chances in the return game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,565 ✭✭✭losthorizon

How much bloody injury time is being played?

Edit: still, not a bad result. Put the onus on Legia. Still a big ask for Pats though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,526 ✭✭✭✭Darkglasses

Good result and Pats looked the better side over the whole game, but really could have been 1-0 so easily.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

    Great result none the less.

We could easily have won against Vorskla Poltava out in Ukraine. This game reminds me of that one exactly.

I expect Legia to get their sh*t together and dominate next week. Same thing happened with the Ukrainians.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,806 ✭✭✭corny

Great result if you didn't watch the game. Shouldn't have any hang ups in taking it to them next week.

As it stands Pats are ahead in the tie. Great result for them. Goal was a sickener but them's the breaks. Pats could easily have played the 2nd half with 10 men and really struggled then.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,421 ✭✭✭major bill

Good result hopefully they don't regret what was really sloppy play in the end.

They don't need to rely on the away support now to fill Tallaght so limit the Polish crowd to what they are allowed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,685 ✭✭✭✭wonski

Very poor performance from Legia - well done St Patrick's.

I laughed for 90 minutes when the polish tv pundits went from "how many goals can they put past the semi - proffesional team" through the "it is very poor" up to "well done Legia" when they scored.

Next week game is going to be interesting, not a great game by the world cup standard, still nice to have something to watch.

They just called the St Patrick's amateurs again:eek: What would you call the polish side then? The professionals:confused:

Didn't see most of the match - did there really need to be so much injury time?

    Well done Pats!!!

Anyone know the official attendence tonight?
