Please lock this thread, question has been asked and answered, the thread serves no purpose as it's just one group of fans winding up another group of fans and vice versa. Until an appeal happens everything that can possibly be said on the issue has been said.

I can never understand why if you hate a thread, post or read the posts in there?

Is it that hard to ignore?

Have you tried PMing the mods of the forum? There's no guarantee they'd see this thread.

People have lives outside of Boards, and given that this thread was started after 11pm on a Saturday night, there's a very real possibility that a Soccer mod hasn't seen it, particularly if they don't follow the Feedback forum.

I would say that if you want a thread closed, please report the post and offer reasons for it to be closed, and then PM a mod and again offer reasons. Jumping straight to a feedback forum without trying one of those two routes seems a tad quick on the trigger.

Meanwhile, the whole Suarez story, right now, is one of the biggest football related stories going and thus gets it's own topic. For now, anyway. I'd point out the last topic on here was one giving out about mods not letting a thread stay open on the matter, and now it's open, we get a topic asking for it to be closed. In many ways, it shows we can't win....

My personal thoughts would be it will be closed tomorrow, but that since the exit of Uruguay is linked to the story, there still is some legs left in the topic. Not much, mind. The mods are keeping a close eye on it though so rest assured your feedback had been noted.
