Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

We do it every year, we write down a list of things we would like, whoever picks who knows what they would like and we spend €130 on the gift. Works great, only buy one gift and receive something you want.

Are you a last minute shopper or do you plan ahead?

Brown. They're easier to get lost in, compared to bright coloured eyes.

Honestly- probably posture. How a guy carries himself is very important.
After that- hair length and colour.

How long has it been since you changed your bedsheets?

    Changed them yesterday.

Is there anything better than fresh bedclothes?

    Not really,

i usually set an alarm for 30 minutes before I intend waking up, that way I get to go back asleep for a while, and when I do have to wake up again, I'm not in as deep a sleep.

most/least effective alarms you've ever used? (for me, ever since phones (Nokia's) came to predominance about 15 years ago, only then did I have an alarm that actually worked)

The most effective was one of those old fashioned bell alarms. It was very effective at putting me in a bad mood,

Have you ever reacted to a fire alarm or like most people do you just continue as you were assuming it's a false alarm?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

    Ignore it until I'm sure there's a fire/fire drill.

People get awfully excited over fire alarms don't they?

Ehhmmmm...not in my experience. Most seem to carry on regardless.

have you ever been evacuated from a building?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

In secondary school in one of the bathrooms, one of the cubicles was used as storage for all the toilet rolls, cleaning equipment, mops ect. For weeks someone was setting off the fire alarm and we were all being brought out. Until they stopped letting us out of class as it was happening three times a day and was clearly a hoax. Until this one morning it went off, nobody moved. A few minutes later there was an announcement over the intercom to line up quickly, leave everything behind you, and to make our way to the nearest exits. Some crazy bitch (she's a heroin addict now) had set the full cubicle on fire.

Do you think I'm good at giving short accounts?

We went on one of these carnival ride things once when we lived in Dubai. I used to love roller coasters etc but this scared me. Eventually got off of it, my arms were all bruised from holding on. A week later same ride was in Abu Dhabi and some one got killed from it. Never will get on one again.

No, but if you're referring to life as in the popular Ronan Keating ditty then what choice to we have?

With the explosion of mobile phones and with no phone boxes anywhere, where does Superman get changed?
