Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Public Toilets

If you have children what do you hope for them for the future?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,111 ✭✭✭Jamaican Me Crazy

That they will apply themselves and get good educations, travel, have decent enough jobs, not get into trouble and be happy.

Do you think I'm expecting too much?

Do you think I'm expecting too much?

I'd say you're away in lala land.

A mate of mine reckons that with so many grandparents looking after grandkids, if they die then the parents will struggle to cope and it will lead to an increase in divorce. Do you think he's right?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,111 ✭✭✭Jamaican Me Crazy

I don't think he is wrong. I don't have any parents taking care of my children currently, over priced private childcare is taking care of that. My mother helped my sister out hugely with her childcare and without her, my sister wouldn't have been able to work.

Do you have a favourite flower?

Not really but I always liked daisies. Simple and have something cheerful about them.

Have you ever tried nettle tea or soup?

    Nettle tea? No.
    Soup? Yes.
    Nettle soup? No

How old were you when you lost your virginity?

If you haven't lost your virginity yet, then why not?

I am saving myself for marriage of course.

    Do you believe me

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,111 ✭✭✭Jamaican Me Crazy

In light of last weeks 'flavour of condoms' comment, I'm sorry Lexie but I don't.

Am I right to not believe Lexie? ;)

No. You can taste condoms and still be a virgin.

    What's your tipple?

Like a starving rhinoceros, same as without a hangover really. I don't really get bad hangovers anyway, just a little crawsick from porter. ;)

    Do you get bad hangovers?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

I used to, but the last few times when I woke up I was still drunk and I only really start to feel rotten late in the evening, when I can go to bed/lay on the couch anyway.

    What's your slippers like

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,111 ✭✭✭Jamaican Me Crazy

Cream with butterflies embroidered on them. Penneys best. Had to get them for a hospital stay earlier in the year.

What is the last song you listened to?

An old pair of slip-on shoes that have been demoted to general domestic pricking about.

Would I be right in guessing that all of your pairs of slippers have little fluffy bobbly bunnies, or similar, on them?? :pac:

One pair are eeyore slipper boots (the donkey from Winnie the Pooh) one pair are cow slippers, one pair are elephant slippers and my newest pair are Minnie Mouse slippers. So, you made a good guess!

Which pair would you like to borrow?

What's your favourite 20th Century decade?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

I don't really remember any of the decades, I was only little in the 90s, the fun years were 02-09.

Do you ever go boozing at lunchtime on Sunday?

All the time, Sunday sociables. Start having a pint with dinner and see where the evening takes me

Would you like a pint right now

Nope. Way too early. I might have a quart of Carlsberg tomorrow evening around half-five.

    Do you drive?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

I do. Drive everyone else mad, ah no. I've been driving (legally) since my 17th birthday.

Did you ever teach anyone to drive

Would you enjoy living off out in the middle of the boondocks, with the nearest neighbour a half-mile away?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

I grew up in the country, and I loved it. Was fantastic as a teenager having house parties and no neighbours to complain. I'm also smug today because no water charges for that house either!! Hard to get used to estate living after that!

Did you ever see a ghost?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,111 ✭✭✭Jamaican Me Crazy

Doubt it. I would like to live in a detached house kind of in the country but close to a main town.

Do you live in a town or in the country?

I don't mind, it's worth it. I love the fire. Another week or so and it'll be lit every night.

Have you ever thrown something into the fire you didn't mean too?

Years ago I was burning some wrapping paper from kids gift. There was a small remote control for one of the toys was melted by the time I realised. Kid wasn't a happy camper that day.........

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

Yeah, I went once after my mom died and it made me feel better.
Then I went to two right after my dad died, and one was eeriely accurate but to the point, the other one was good but fluffed it out more so I was a bit more "ehh" but they both basically told me the same thing.
