Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Attempting to fix a leaky ballcock on a jax and convincing myself I didnt need to turn off the supply. Got a jet of water in the face, fell back and tore down the shower screen.

Have you ever heard the phrase 'barking your Yop' and what do you think it means?

No I haven't heard that phrase.
Yop is a yoghurt drink which is made from milk which comes from a cow.
Barking is what a dog does to communicate. So perhaps it means communicating with animals . :)

Anything nice planned for next weekend?

The missus is working 8am to 6pm so I'm going to catch up on the movies she has no interest in and finally get around to finishing GTAV! Might see Guardians of the Galaxy on the Sunday.

What's the longest you've ever gone without sleeping?

I think he did something for Guiness, like testing a pint every 30 mins in the local. Must have worked in Quality Control, though he was paid weekly by the Dept. Of social welfare.

What is your favourite alcoholic drink any why?

Wine, because it's the classy way to get píssed. :pac: I'm joking (partly :p), I like the taste and texture of it, nothing better than a nice glass of chilled white wine at the end of a long day.

Do you own a games console and if yes how often do you use it?

Neither. They're both stupid. The Palestinians are still launching **** when there's a ceasefire in place, from what I understand.

What was the worst day of your life?

Either the day my dad was diagnosed with cancer or the day he died, the day he was diagnosed was probably worse because he was so upset and frightened and there was nothing we could do to make it better.

    Yes.

What is the best food you ever ate and where did you eat it?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,106 ✭✭✭catallus

I had this kebab in Kilkenny in 2007. It was one of the best things I ever ate. I remember queuing up in this packed out chipper and it was lashing rain, I mean there was streams of water gushing down the streets. I ordered the food and went outside and I just kind of attacked the donor with my face and ruined a pretty good shirt with the dripping of the sauce when it mingled with the rain on my face. But, my god, it tasted fantastic, devouring that thing with so many like-minded people around, waiting for a taxi back to the hostel. If I had that night back, I'd happily do it again.

    Do you like kebabs?

Moray eel spinal column soup. On holidays in Malaysia aged 12. Really bitter, and spicy as hell, true to form.
Other than that i've had the usual suspects: Crocodile burger, Gazelle chops, Giraffe steak.

An economic war is likely, but as for a return to the cold war style world of the 20th century, I think that's avoidable.
