Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Yep!!

Do you keep up to date on what's happening in the world

I'd have a good general idea but I wouldn't know the specifics of anything as I've no real interest.

    Do you loike the Pogues?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,781 ✭✭✭clappyhappy

    Yes, I love their music.

Have/will you listen to U2's new album?

Somewhat. They had what I consider a classical period - Fairytale Of New York, The Irish Rover, and so on - and then became a parody of themselves. When MacGabhainn's health started failing and he receded into the background it took most of the fun out of it for me.

Do you like these bright yet fresh, slightly nippy September mornings?

I love September, early mornings and all

Do you put extra salt on your food

No, I hate salt on my food.

    Ketchup or Mayo?

Mayo were beaten in the semi-final so I'll go with ketchup.

25 years of Fair City. Will there ever be a greater soap character than Harry Molloy?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,111 ✭✭✭Jamaican Me Crazy

    I can't really comment. I haven't watch Fair City since I was a kid.

Do you watch many soaps regularly?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

I watch most of them. Home and away, neighbours, emmerdale, eastenders, coronation street and fair city.

Do you think I have a life?

Yes, but it's misspent ye flamin' galah!

Are you old enough to remember Tom & Pippa from Home & Away?

No I don't remember either of those people but Sally's daughter is named pippa now

What do you think of Australians?

I don't like their accents and they seem to be minus craic.

No because I don't think you can live like that. In life you can only take the necessary precautions (car insurance, cross at traffic lights, don't fly Malaysian Airlines, use protection) anything beyond that is a game of chance.

    Do you believe in fate?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

Yep! What's for you never passes you.

If your oh was in hospital would you take the day off work to give them foot rubs

Yes, also big believer in karma.

I think they'd be a lot happier with themselves and stand more chance of being united with whatever Flying Spaghetti Monster be playsin' 'em if they left decent people alone and quit obsessing over getting everyone to believe and do the same as them.

    BMW or Jaguar?

Not in favour of any kind of extremism. I believe we are all entitled to our own opinions and what have you but like wise we need to respect others on a human level.

    Capital punishment. Yes or no?

A classic jag would be nice. I'd feel like Arthur Daley rolling around in it.

Are you thinking of selling yours Jim? Or giving it to the missus?

From my cold dead hand.

Have you ever fired a gun?

    Did you own a catapult

Dennis-the-Menace type, or medieval Trebuchet sort of thing capable of knocking down a village? If the former, yes - I made it myself out of a stout Y-shaped tree branch and rubber from an old inner-tube. :D

Did you find some clothes to wear?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

I have an excuse to be in Jammies all day for the next few days (although I am expecting a delivery from asos today or tomorrow. The OH will poop his pants if he gets to the package before me)

    Do you online shop much

Not an awful lot, and never for clothes. It's usually tools, car parts and a little electronic doohickery now and then.

What's your take on Fair Trade produce?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

I'd buy fair trade over regular, when its an option.

Shouldn't everything be fair trade though

Yes. I've always thought the poor bastard who has to break his back growing and/or making stuff should be able to earn a decent living out of it.

Have you any use for a tablet PC?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

Not really, I don't even own a laptop, well I do but I have no charger for it. The other fella has a laptop and iPad that I can take if I need it.

Of course. We all want to feel validated by others approval of our opinions.

Did you ever think you were weird only to realise everyone is the same and you're probably fairly normal by most standards?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

    No I'm mistaken.

Is innuendo a common form of humour where you work?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

No cause I work with a thick who is probably used to getting inherendo but not so much "getting" humour. And our managers as dry as ghandis sandal

Trying to or even being perfect is not a good idea in my opinion.
You will only go bonkers trying to maintain it and when you fail it will hurt.

    Is pretty good, good enough?

Not for some time but as a young lad I enjoyed the tingly flavour of many a spent ever ready.

Have you ever smoked behind the bicycle shed?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

Nope, I never smoked. I'm way too vain for that.

Did you have a crush on any teachers when you were in school

I won't deny that there wasn't one I dedicated the odd tommy tank to but never a crush.

Did you do your homework at home or wing it in class?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

Winged it, which probably explains why I wax hoohas for a living and am not a rocket scientist.

Have you done any famous ones?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,180 ✭✭✭✭jimgoose

Why is the day so long

Day length is dictated by the length of time it takes the Earth to spin one revolution on its axis. This in turn is determined by all kinds of complicated things that can be traced back to the Big Bang.

Would it surprise you to learn that rocket science isn't all that difficult?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

    No famous ones!
It would be hard enough staying awake to learn about rocket science
