Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    No famous ones!
It would be hard enough staying awake to learn about rocket science

    Do you bruise easily

No. Because I eat way too much cheese I have a titanium frame and a hide that would stop a .22.

    Did you enjoy school?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,812 ✭✭✭✭sbsquarepants

Not at the time. But in hindsight...... it wasn't half bad.

    Do you like learning?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

I like learning about things I'm interested in but most of my 'interests' aren't very intellectual.

Why does cheese help you not bruise

    Do you like learning?

I sure do. But at this hour of my life I have to be interested in the subject matter or else have a definite use for it, otherwise I couldn't be hooped.

What was the last truly interesting thing you learned?

Baking soda makes ants explode if you mix it with icing sugar

    Is that cruel

Cilla Black was buddies with The Beatles.

Have you a favourite Beatles song?

    I always liked Yesterday

How did you do in your Leaving Cert?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,180 ✭✭✭✭jimgoose

    I always liked Yesterday

How did you do in your Leaving Cert?

I did in in 1989, and made a bit of a horlicks of it. I didn't fail anything, just performed with notable lacklustre in the few subjects I was interested in. The whole "school" way of doing things didn't suit my personality. I did it again the following year, at the age of eighteen and only doing three subjects - physics, chemistry and maths - while working part-time. That was rather better. :pac:

Is there too much pressure on kids these days, not just with the likes of the LC but overall?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,812 ✭✭✭✭sbsquarepants

Average - can't remember exactly it was 20 years ago.

Would you like to be a teacher? (or are you one?)

    5 honours - 420 points I think.

If you could go back to when you were 18 what one thing in life would you do differently (only answer if you are over 30)?

Sorry didn't see you sneak in there!

I think there's much less pressure than on previous generations. No one is getting shoved up chimneys these days.

what age did you start working first?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,111 ✭✭✭Jamaican Me Crazy

    21 in 2004, I never worked until I graduated from college :o

Did you work through college or did your parents support you?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,812 ✭✭✭✭sbsquarepants

I swindled the dole through college. It's the only time I've consistently had spare cash!

Have you ever cheated the system?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,111 ✭✭✭Jamaican Me Crazy

    No, never.

Would you report someone for SW fraud?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,812 ✭✭✭✭sbsquarepants

Probably not. It would be a tad hypocritical:D

    Would you?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,111 ✭✭✭Jamaican Me Crazy

Probably not. What goes around comes around. I just complain behind their backs and be super passive aggressive about it ;)

Have you ever been in counselling?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,812 ✭✭✭✭sbsquarepants

No. Haven't had any major traumas so far. I'm not sure it would be for me anyway. I'm more of a keep it all in man myself!

Are you a private or wear your heart on your sleeve type?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,065 ✭✭✭kissmequick

Aaaaaaaaaaam golly I don't know really probably more private but would have no qualms about bawling my eyes out if something upset me that much, don't care who's watching! Guess it just depends on what!

    What's for dindins?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

    Have you watched breaking bad?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,580 ✭✭✭✭Riesen_Meal

As far as the start of season 4, and I watched it from the beginning, I just got a pain in my hole waiting for the rest of the episodes, I will finish it one day!

No never, Lots of wood I'd imagine.

If you're only 'popping in for a minute' would you bother parking properly if there is a space available or double park?
