Thank you for the clarification, although the map is incredible misleading, especially for an area as large as Claregalway, since the green area for Claregalway on the map that indicates "efibre is now available in your area" is a very large area of about 56 sq km, yet, there only appears to be one cab at the centre of this large area, certainly one cab couldn't support such a large area? So why would Eircom what to mislead their customers by posting such a deceptive map, despite the disclaimer in small print? Even if they reduced the size of the green Claregalway mapped area, but this more honest strategy would leave large gaps in the roll-out areas.
    Hi SeamusFX

The small print has recently become quite larger and located to the top of the map as a result of previous concerns expressed surrounding this. I can understand your concerns and I will provide your feedback to online operations.

    Thanks
    Al

I can confirm that the map does not intend to suggest that all of Claregaway can avail of efibre.
Yes, but unfortunately a map is a map!!!!!!!! And a BIG green area pretty much implies that the entire area is green and would clearly imply that the area is ready for eFibre, since the colour code at the bottom of the map indicates that green indicates "now available", at least that's how most NORMAL people would interpret it, but obviously Eircom isn't too NORMAL.

    Hi SeamusFX

I appreciate your opinion Seamus however the specific note located in bold above the map is there for all to see.

A more specific map under "NGA fibre broadband network" can be found here: http://www.eircomwholesale.ie/Our_Network/

    Thanks

    Hi,

Just noticed this - http_fibrerollout.ie slash where-and-when (thanks boards.ie for not letting me post links!) on the Wholesale site. Anyone know how long Claregalway has been down as "In Build". According to the map (http_//fibrerollout.ie slash where-and-when/), the actual Exchange Fibre Build has commenced. Anyone know if this is more BS or will Claregalway ACTUALLY get Fibre soon?

    Thanks,

    J

    Hi jbng98

Yes eFibre is already available to some lines in claregalway - those attached to CLG1_002 and CLG1_003 and within a 2Km distance - follow here and click on "all" http://www.eircomwholesale.ie/Our_Network/ - the "NGA fibre broadband network map".

CLG1_E01 should be going live within the next 8 weeks and CLG1_004 has no estimated launch date yet.

    Thanks
    Al

    Hi Alan,

Thanks for the update! Is CLG1_001 still on schedule for a 29-July launch?

    No problem jbng98

CLG1_001 was indeed provisionally planned for the 29th however this may be delayed by a week or two unfortunately

No firm date is set yet but should be very soon :)

    Cheers

Thanks Alan, as I walked by where the cabinet should be yesterday and there was no signs of any work started yet - no above ground cabinet and the underground cabinet had moss on it which looked as if it hasn't been opened in a long time, hopefully they'll get us up and running soon.
