Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A global rugby season is coming. Some kind of fixture assignment discussion across codes needs to start soon.

Clermont need wingers fast. They are losing Malzieu (Mont), Nalaga (Lyon), Guildford (NZ) and Tawalo (Oyonnax) and have signed nobody to replace them.

Hopefully, naholo looks like he's staying with the Highlanders ......

Connacht would have to be the side with the biggest ambitions. They're potentially only losing one player in Henshaw.

The Dragons will lose Faletau and Amos along with possibly losing Morgan too. They'll also be giving it a good go but I can see Welsh sides not doing themselves justice with the Welsh fixtures in Cardiff overshadowing the Pro12 games.

I see London Irish will probably take a game to New York next year to be played around St. Patrick's Day. Probably will work out a decent move, suprised some of the Irish teams haven't considered this.

You want a couple of inches in from the right.

It's a whole lot of nothing, and for me a prime example of why citing committees are hugely out of tune with the tenor of a large proportion of the game's fanbase and why the officiating of the game as a whole needs urgent review and reform...

... but I think I would cry with happiness if he got banned and had to miss the World Cup. And, well, it is technically an offence, he didn't have to do it, it's a shame they can't ban people for stupidity as he'd be a prime candidate.

edit: Been told it looks worse from other angles, http://www.premiershiprugby.tv/FullMatchReplays?WT.mc_id=mpType:Display*Asset:Display_Ad*CmpID:PRTV*Other:FullMatchReplays - 1 hour 15 minutes in on that, after the Wood try.

    looks bad from behind.

1 hour 15 mins and 42 seconds. The view from above shows him leading with the head. To be honest it would be a blessing for England for him to miss out on the RWC. He's a liability.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,080 ✭✭✭✭Micky Dolenz

    Much ado about nothing.

  • Subscribers Posts: 41,865 ✭✭✭✭sydthebeat

dont know why the ref didnt look at other angles, looks a look worse overhead and from behind.

havent a clue how it would go but if hes found guilty, they cannot offer him the usual 'premiership' low standard of ban.

wouldnt be surprised if nothing happens over it though

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,718 ✭✭✭Taco Corp

No easy punishment in the premiership

    Much ado about nothing.

Out of context, yes I'd agree. But with so many issues surrounding the player it's incredibly stupid. What's he at anyway? Trying to get a point across? Do that by doing your job mate. Silly, naive... Rugby is all about aggression, but controlled aggression. As soon as you lose that level of control it's no longer part of the game, and I'm not sure Dylan ever had control in the first place.

Casual fans think it's a blow for Wales, real fans now fear Scott Williams starting.

Crushing blow for Davies and Wales, although Scott Williams is a fine player. Can he play with Roberts though? Williams and Davies seems a better pairing than Roberts and Williams.

Davies is a top class player and, for me, the best Welsh centre. If it was Roberts who was out injured, then it may strengthen the side given how hit and miss he has been in the last couple of years.

Davies is going to be badly missed though. Has a lot to his game including a thumping boot which is often overlooked.

Scott Williams is the best centre in the British Isles imo, but he's totally suited to first centre, not 2nd.

Yes, agree. Roberts will never be dropped though.

Is it possible that Gatland will stick North in at 13, with Liam Williams and Cuthbert on the wings?

(Assuming North is available, of course)

Just a reminder that the sequel to one of the games of the season is starting now, Worcester v Bristol

If Bristol don't come away with any points from this opening quarter, it will be a huge boost to Worcester. Really poor from Bristol so far in terms of patience and brains.

    6-3 to Worcester after 25mins.

Exciting game in front of a rowdy crowd, entertaining stuff so far plus it's a sell out.

Dean Ryan winning the battle of the coaches so far I'd say. Worcester look good in their own half outside of breakdown sloppiness.

Dewi Morris and his rubbish ... "Andy Robinson would say it was a late hit on Lemi". No he wouldn't you clown, he was committed to the tackle, no complaints from anyone.
