For me it has to be Eoghan the taxi driver in Fair City. Just can't stand him and don't think he's one of these people that will grow on me.
    So, what about you?

Same, I can't bear to watch fair city with him or his wife in it. Dreadful characters

Its just the way he moans/feels so hard done by/his cockiness/his facial expressions.

Many many years ago, I liked Natalie in Corrie. She had the affair with Kevin and some brilliant scraps with Sally.

Orla from Fair City closely followed by Carol Jackson in Easties.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,110 ✭✭✭123balltv

Rita Sullivan now and years back I find her character stuck up, she treats Norris who I love like dirt.

Orla and Wayne ("me ma") Molloy in Fair City .

And I wish Tamwar in eastenders would stop looking so ****ing miserable all the time !

Todd and Nick, in Coronation Street. Nick is a very poorly acted caricature of Basil Fawlty, at his worst and Todd is totally overdone, every time he calls someone 'sweet cheeks', I want to kick my tv.

    Definitely Nick in Corrie!

Bela Doyle. His grey dull face is so annoying. He's always giving out, and is never happy about anything.

Maria in corrie without a shadow of a doubt. She has been middle aged since she was fifteen.

I know I've said it already but if it was possible I hate that character eoin with every passing episode. He boils my blood, proper boils it

Lloyd and andrea in corrie. Saying both because you rarely see one without the other and both are highly irritating.

Laurel, thinks she's better than everyone else in the village.

Has everyone forgiven Paul from Corrie? He was the drippy fireman with the boring jacket collection that was living with Eileen.

Not sure about in the past, but my current least favourite is Mondo O'Connell from Fair City.

My mother hated Lucy in Fair City - but we went to see Pride and Prejudice in the Gate last night and she was excellent! Just shows it is down to the writers

Tamwar in Eastenders has got to be the most depressed/depressing character in soap history. Like seriously, what is the point of him??!

You can backdate your dislike of Mondo to early 2000s and cover both categories!

Coronation Street's Fiz and by extension Tyrone, she does nothing but whinge and he's starting to turn into her.

Maeve from fair city- I have to say I'm stunned to have named her first!

Everyone in Fair City and it's all down to the absolutely ATROCIOUS script. I was watching a Nationwide special about FC a few weeks ago and was surprised to see that they actually do have paid adult scriptwriters and it's not just written by a group of pimply transition year boys like I suspected....

I rarely watch Corrie, but by god that Anthony Cotton is one horrible character! Before him, Hayley..

Andy from Home and Away has become one of my least favourite characters at the moment. He is just so damn annoying!

I agree. His facial expressions really bug me! But Phoebe & Maddy are even more irritating - self-obsessed children constantly throwing tantrums if they fon't get their own way!

I haven't watched soaps in a few years so my references are probably stupidly out of date. But oh well :)

    - Tracey Barlow, Corrie
    - Lisa, Eastenders
    - Mynah Timlin, Glenroe ...yes, I know Glenroe is long gone ;)
    - Paul, Fair City. Seriously, how did he pull so many good looking women
    - Yvonne, Fair City. What was with the personality transplant?
    - Sally, Home & Away
    - whoever plays Nick in Corrie now. Bland Ken doll. Bring back Adam Rickitt ;)
    - Peggy & Janine, Eastenders.

I'm just not interested in watching soap bitches. I'd like to see strong women characters, sure, but not bitches or whinging nags. The character just gets one-dimensional pretty quickly for me when that happens.

Fizz, it's her facial expressions and the way she talks👺..,also the wee quick step way of walking that she has, gets on my nerves.

Eastenders' Sharon Watts, I'd just love to slap her!

Sonia,Sonia,Sonia, can't stand her always moaning and whinging and for someone who wants to save her marriage she seems overly fond of kissing anyone who will give her the time of day, wrecks my head, and Sharons' demon spawn deserves a mention as well

The copper in Eastenders who is investigating the Lucy Beale murder(can't remember her name). Surely, she is the most stupid copper to ever grace Albert Square.

Pretty much all of the cast of Home and Away with the exception of Alf, Marilyn, Irene and possibly Leah. Haven't watched it for the last 6/7 months got totally bored with all the Braxton rubbish, so I just gave up watching.

Must be Summerhayes,is it...the harmless one?
Or her superior-the battleaxe who looks like the walking dead.

Yes, it is Summerhayes, Max Brannings latest fling. I wonder is her standard approach to murder investigations getting involved with one of the suspects. I like her boss, she has been appearing in the show off and on over the years
