i don't know why they wear them, religion is nuts! The burka thing is just out there!

The nature of the garment is irrelevant. Our argument is that full bodily autonomy should never be compromised by the government.

Bollox, tell that to somebody wearing and SS uniform. The nature of the garment is of absolute relevant.

    It is already, though.
Public nudity is already illegal, for example.

In most countries public nudity isn't expressly illegal. It falls under wider public order offenses, and depends on a whole load of variables, which isn't really the case in this instance.

I think the burka is silly and i do think in most countries where it's worn it's used to subjugate women. However I think forcing someone not to wear it is as bad as forcing someone to wear it.
I wouldn't agree it's as bad as, but it's heading in that direction - forcing someone not to wear something they may actually want to wear (wherever that "want" came from). As I said, fining/imprisoning someone for wearing something which is banned in order to make that person free-er... just makes no sense.

    Distasteful but not illegal.

Unless you wear it in Germany.....

It's not illegal, but Harry was roasted for wearing it even in jest, and rightly so, it's the uniform of genocidal mass murderers and utterly offensive. The burka is in my opinion an equally potent symbol that stands for equally ugly standards.

As I said earlier, I'd have no problem with somebody wearing an SS uniform, and as far as I know it's not illegal. It might fall under hate speech in some places, but I oppose hate speech laws as well :p
