I'm setting up my first bank account soon and I'm not sure what I need to bring with me. Obviously some sort of identification like a passport or my birth certificate. And also a letter as proof of residence. But is that all I need to bring with me? What am I omitting? Also, which is the best bank to join in your opinions?
thank you for your time in advance

Different banks have different rules re id but at least you will need photo id, passport or drivers licence, birth cert won't do. Something to prove your address, preferably a utility bill and thirdly something with your PPSN number on it, letter from revenue or social welfare or public services card. All the id must be in date and recent.
