Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

iPhone 4S battery gone bananas.

My 4S battery life is totally unpredictable lately. For example I took it out of my pocket to check something today and it said it was 38% charged. By the time I swiped across to the shortcut I wanted on the screen it was shutting down. Flat. Sleepy time. Plugged it into a USB port on the work PC to charge it and when it started up it read 60% charged.

I have gone through threads here and elsewhere and turned off everything that's not needed. I never use bluetooth so that's always off. A few times a day I'll double tap the home button and shut down any apps left running in the background.

I think this may have started after an IOS update a few months ago but I'm not sure. A few people suggested the battery is past it's best, so I replaced it with an "OEM" one off Ebay (I know, I know).

Before I try the old battery back in it again, are there any other suggestions?
    It's running IOS 7.1.1
It's variously charged using an Apple wall charger, two Logitech docks, a car charger and an Apple USB cable on various work PCs.

first off it may not actaully be an issue with your battery, it may just be a glitch with the software. It happened my dad after an ios update too.

I would suggest back up your data, then restore the iphone from the back up. I would also suggest setting up the iphone as new. this would give you a good indication if the issue is with the software or the battery.

On the flip side it may just be a bad/cheap battery.
