We're on the same page TheBody, I wrote this on the Science Moderators forum after reading your post:
The site we use for LaTeX parsing (turning the LaTeX equations into images) seems to be down, and has been down for a while. Here's the site in question: http://www.mathtran.org/

    And here's an example of non-working LaTeX code(!): [latex] e^{i\pi} = -1 [/latex]

This is a big problem since it not only means we can't use LaTeX, but all previous LaTeX images in hundreds of posts are also not showing up, removing a valuable resource.

Is it possible to move this to a native boards.ie server? Irrespetive of whether the Mathtran service comes back, I think it would be better to host this ourselves if it's at all possible. It's not used very often, so I can't see it adding a huge burden on the server workload.

    Comments welcome!

I noticed that latex is working again. Thanks to all involved in fixing this.

Yes, good work to all involved.

I still think that we should consider hosting this ourselves to guard against future issues such as this.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
