Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Germany being exposed by one long ball over the top everytime.

Before the game I tipped France to win, and even though Germany are leading I wouldn't be surprised to see France nip it. France playing decent football, need to take their chances though.

Signs of improvement from France. About time !!

    This is dreadful from Müller

Entertaing half from two very good teams. Both teams have an extremely strong spine, Pogba in particular has been immense. Hopefully France can get the goal their play deserves.

That giant snail was part of the second best defence last season.

You should do some research once in a while.

Still useless imo Hummells a far better option.

Poor showing from France so far but Germany's back line looks a lot stronger with the change.

And Ronnie opens the first half review by basically saying he is unhappy with everything and disappointed in everybody.

    Can't fault his consistency

Germany don't half like flinging themselves to the floor.

Decent performance by both teams but neither have really shown much quality in the final third.

Had to laugh at Collins saying Germany were happy to leave Sakho alone because he's bad on the ball.
He's probably been the best passing CB at the WC.

Anyone watching on BBC. They are going on about the linesman a good bit saying he is not up to it and his positioning is wrong. He has done nothing wrong. I don't know why they keep going on about him.

Neither of these teams will win the cup and you can see how a terrible Brazil team could win the World Cup.

France will score I think. I can't believe Low has lasted this long as the coach. Massively underachieved.

The one that just missed 4 French players being offside?:D

That's why they have highlighted Germany's defence as been weak today.

    Excellent analysis.

Why was that a free out?

FFS, they may as well just make the rule that if the keeper comes for the ball everyone else has to clear out of the box.

That German defence doesn't look nearly as steady without Mertesacker.

Good yellow for Chandler's roommate Eddie.

He was pretty poor against Algeria though, I guess they figured they wouldn't have to deal with too much aerial threats so would be better suited having more pace in the defence.

It also helps that they're playing deeper and with lahm at full back

When the goalkeeper had a better game in your position you deserve to be dropped.

Evra should retire from club football to prolong his international career

Getting distracted by conversation with other people in the room. Is this a bit of a dud or have we been spoilt by the group games?
