Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

He doesn't. This is a ref who issued two reds in a single match in Euro 2012. He's normally quite card happy.

He averaged nearly 6 yellows per game in La Liga.

Great goal, but this ref has be awful the entire game, with all the allegations of refs giving penos and certain amount of cards etc because they are getting paid to fix a game I know wonder if refs are having awful games or being paid off now. Surely there should have been way more yellows than 2 in this game! And that one he gave Rodriguez compared to others was a joke.

    Some finish from Luiz though

My god.. did you ever think you'd see a Brazilian do that... A Wimbledon player would have been embarrassed by that..

Cannot wait until Germany knock them out.

I'll actually celebrate when it happens. Brazil disgust me.

Edit: Their football team, I mean. I'm sure the people are lovely!

This Brazilian team are making a mockery of the very rich tradition of football in the country.

Its a question of standards (and quality) nobody favours Brazil for the workman like approach and persistent fouling.....and sideshow bob just ruins my response.

Yeah i hear what your saying and the booing by the locals earlier for France v Germany makes it all the more hypocritical. I suppose though for r a fan and watching the game in real time in a packed stadium there is a chance that they majority will be biased and in particular when there is an overwhelming amount of them

Why does Houghton feel the need to bring the refs' nationality into it? What has that got to do with anything?

I wish people would stop with all this fix nonsense, Colombia have been awful, barely a shot all night and they've fouled plenty themselves. Two perfectly legitimate goals for Brazil and though it's been an awful game they're winning it comfortably so far

Free out for a foul on the Colombian   This is disgraceful

I'm not saying that the refs in the world cup have been all Brazil, some have been shocking for both, but it seems whoever is going to beat the Brazilians will have to do so without really being awarded too much in terms of cards, frees, and penos.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,292 ✭✭✭Adamocovic

Penalty, well that shut me up

It can perhaps be relevant as to what domestic league they referee in. Different leagues tend to have different refereeing styles.
