Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Putting down some floor tiles shortly , hallway, kitchen & bathroom . We're going with porcelain tiles throughout but undecided between polished/glazed and matt finish. Just a bit concerned about slip risk on the polished tiles , any thoughts ? Are the matt porcelain tiles a safer bet ? Which type is most durable ?

I'd go for the matt finish purely because they don't show the dirt as much. We've had some down for the last 3 years and have never noticed them being slippery. I think the polished ones look a bit dated now, but that's only a personal opinion.

We recently tiled the hall, kitchen, living room, sun rom & downstairs toilet with polished ones, well we are 10 months living with them, initially did not want to get LR done as I thought it would be too cold and too much tile. Changed my mind once they were down.

Absolutely love them. Invested in steam cleaner & floor is clean & dry in seconds. Looks fab clean, and once you get the habit it's wonderful to always ave a clean floor.

I would say its a matter of taste and lifestyle. Have a look around and see what's available.

As for looking dated, I would suppose it depends on the house, since we have only built the house, the tiles we chose suit the space and light.
