    Hello I was wondering a lot recently about doing some exploring in the city and what I was wanting to know was has any of you done it and if so what do you need it seems very interesting

    Depends what you're looking for I guess! There's lots of interesting side alleys in the city centre but you'd kinda want your wits about you etc. If it's greenery you're after etc - I'd recommend the Dodder, surprising wee strip of countryside in the midst of a city. You can follow the bank pretty much mostly from the where the East Link bridge is, up to Tallaght. The powers that be haven't quite spotted it yet and labelled it a 'Greenway' :) !

    im looking for city exploring like abandoned buildings like factory's and ive seen a few people explore the storm drains around Dublin was the kind of thing i was looking for ive done it once but on my own and nearly broke my leg on the way down so another thing would be advice on gear needed thanks again

    Hmm, storm drains and sewers etc., abandoned factories - edgy stuff! Sounds to me like you should get into caving. All above, if you view chambers and avens as factories and lots more besides, all in a natural wild environment. With possibilities to find new passageways and go where no man has gone before etc :)

    Have to travel a bit though - get outa that big smoke.
