    When reading a Speed Test what is the difference between the download speed and the transfer rate.

    Download Speed: 22647 kbps (2830.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
    Upload Speed: 18306 kbps (2288.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
    Latency: 6 ms
    Jitter: 0 ms

    It's just two different ways of giving the same information.

    Download speeds are usually given in bits, kilobits, megabits etc
    File sizes are generally given in bytes, kilobytes, megabytes etc

    There are 8 bits in one byte.

    As Halfbaker says. The 2830.9KB/sec = 22647 divided by 8.

    kb = kilobits. KB = Kilobytes. The are the same, it's like saying 100 cent instead of 1 euro (that's just an example).
