Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Game on!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,590 ✭✭✭CurryFlavoured

Looked like a foul in the buildup to the 2nd Clare goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,655 ✭✭✭beggars_bush

Foul on Wexford man, ref plays on, goal Clare.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,655 ✭✭✭beggars_bush

    Hotting up now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,563 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Davy should have taken him off earlier as it looked like it was coming.

As I type this, Clare get a goal then Wexford !!

    Goals both end.

If Wexford are going to win this game, they will have to stop shooting from distance. I'm sure Liam Griffin must of had Wexford drilled during the week.

No he didn't. He hadn't a ****en clue what's going on.

He asked the lino and umpire. Lot of refs would be headstrong and make their own decision which could be wrong.

I'd say it's more likely Kelly just told him instead of being asked. He's a hazard of a ref

Clare fouling in the forwards but getting away with it

I'm not a fan of him as a ref but I think at least he was right in taking the time to make the correct call there.

EDIT: You're probably right, could have just been asking for the number.

Looked to me like the Ref was trying to avoid the hard call and the linesman wouldn't let him

Bizzare way to give him the yellow but the call to take him off earlier should have been made by Davy

Jack Brown pulls him down. A clear free and a definite yellow in my book. Ref blows and sees he's booked him already and thinks "f3ck I can't send another one off". Waits a moment or two, Kelly calls him over and says "You have to send him off Johnny", Johnny walks back still thinking "Jesus I can't. Ah f3ck it I will!".

The second yellow was the right call. The two sending offs were both fair decisions but apart from that he has not had a good game, very inconsistent in what he is calling for.

    Clare panicking a bit

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

Why isn't that a ****en yellow. Under the refs nose.

I think you are pretty much spot on.

hes consistent in the hes only applying the rulebook to one team :pac:

Where's the Wexford yellow for that shoulder to the ribs? Poor consistency tbh

And Colin Ryan gets a yellow for a similar foul. Jesus...

Clare are down 2 men but the game is still in the balance.

If Wexford can't see this through then it will hurt for years

Should have been a yellow for that shoulder alright. I'd love to know what goes on in Ryans head

    Not the rules anyway

Wexford need to keep the heads here and pull away.

At the moment its like a head bobbing finish in a horse race,

Wexford helping Clare stay in this. Ball bouncing around horribly. Seriously poor control

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,100 ✭✭✭Browney7

This is without a doubt the single worst refereeing performance I've ever seen at senior level.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,563 ✭✭✭The White Feather

I know its the rules and a point for a different thread but going back to 15v15 if it goes to extra time is really silly

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,806 ✭✭✭corny

Referee giving Clare every chance of forcing ET.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Kilkenny would be 20 points ahead of this Clare team.

Any team with decent control and shooting would be. Wexford look like they're in shock at the situation they're in

Wexford will gave away a penalty or something in the last minute.

Headless chickens. Dont know how to hold a game. Very green in front. I hope they do or it will destroy them for years.

After their shooting in the first half its not surprising they're in shock at being ahead.

    Really?

    Clare v Offaly 1998

That was a one off honest mistake by Cooney and not a reflection of his consistancy throughout the game.

The man has suffered enough for it subsequently.

Jeez if Wexford would stop fouling!

You have to admire Clare still fighting though!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,590 ✭✭✭CurryFlavoured

I can't believe the amount of sitters Wex have missed.
