RTE1, News at 1. Aine Lawlor (I think) was sitting in for S O'R. They went live to a British journo live from India where he briefly outlined some of the the prosecutions claims. The presenter did apologise, they were quite shocked too.

I just couldn't believe that an Irish station would relay that news to listeners.
    Wow!

Any censorship should be up to the parent. I remember specific stories in the news when I was six or seven, but it went over my head - apart from the images from Ethiopia.

seriously, are we that ****ed up a nation that we have to censor the news so the precious little ones dont become scared?
*That* would make us "****ed up"?
    Anyway, nobody actually said it.
The "precious little darlings" passive-aggressive comments are unnecessary.
What kind of person actually listens to the news anyway?
    Most adults.
Is it in the hope that we might finally be told some good news? Or is it a morbid fascination with death and corruption?
To find out what's happening in this country and elsewhere. Actually much news is of relevance to us (e.g. water charges).
