Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi there
I have patio doors (seldom opened) - measuring approx 69w * 82d. I have just seen the perfect curtains - but they measure 64w*90d.

Would I get away with the width measurement??
Dont want to buy and be unable to take back after I try them...

    Many thanks!

    Maura

Hi, They would need to be altered for the drop. The width would depend on the heading on the curtains. Are they Pencil Pleat, French Pleat, eyelet etc? If pencil or eyelet you would probably get away with it. It would be worth checking the shops policy on returns also, as if they are out of the packet they may not take them back.

Your door is 69 inches wide and you probably want your curtains 6 inches wider each side, therefore your ideal curtain width is at least 81 inches. The 64 inch curtain probably has at least 120 inches of fabric pulled tight, so yes it probably will cover the window at a stretch, but a curtain is susposed to have fullness. 64 inches is the max pole width that that curtain is designed for. The ideal readymade size for that window is 90*90. You might get away without altering the drop especially if it is an eyelet finish.

Thanks a million for the replies!
All makes sense - going to keep searching for the 90*90 ones that I really like....

    Thanks again!
